I do sell anything that I don't use anymore except for what I keep for sentimental reasons as you've said.

I've sold/given away some Marc Jacobs, coach, Burberry, Gucci, miu miu & even some of my lv. the reason is not that they are not "lux" enough. I really find that some of these bags are not my style anymore. the chains on my MJ bags was quite bold compared to, say, the chain on my Chanels which is more delicate looking. I kept 1 coach and 1 Marc by Marc Jacobs that I still liked and saw myself still able to use.

I do rotate my bags every week but I use 2 bags per week these days. I carry a different bag to uni and a diff bag for my daily stuff.

I have held onto some of my Coach bags for sentimental reasons. I did also purchase a couple of more "trendy" pieces from Coach. I don't want to spend high $$ on a trendy piece. It's fun to have fringe, but it comes and goes with styles. I also switch to them if I feel like an occasion calls for one where many people I know look down on designer brands. Other than that, I mainly carry my LVs.

I have sold all of my lower end bags except for Longchamp. I have 3 left (MJ & Rebecca Minkoff) that will hopefully sell soon. I use a Longchamp during bad weather or any environment where my LV or Chanel may get messed up!

I'm still hanging on to a few (4, to be exact) whimsical, no-name bags and one small white Coach that I bought like 20 years ago. I literally never ever use that Coach bag, but I still like the look of it, and it's small so it doesn't take up much space!

Once I got my LVs and Balenciagas, though, I did finally give my beloved old Marc Jacobs satchel and my sweet green MBMJ crossbody to my sister. I don't consider those "lesser" bags, but I'd worn them and loved them and they had run their course in my life.

I still use many of my bags from my pre-LV days. I really love my Doney & Bourke Florentine leather bags. When I pull one out of its dust bag, it smells like a tack room in a stable.. Lol. Love that leather smell! I also have a couple Coach and Oryany bags as well. I really love my LV collection and it's definitely my current obsession, but I don't see myself parting with my other bags any time soon!

I sold everything no designer after i got my first lv bag. I kept my first ever coach clutch that i bought in 9th grade w money that i saved up (lime green patent [emoji849][emoji15]) and i keep important documents and cards in there now. I also have a really nice, all leather coach bag that my mom got me for xmas one year. I will probably never use either again, but they have sentimental value for me

I am jumping into the LV world finally and very interested in this topic. Could some of you explain to a newbie what the feelings about MK are and why? I never bought any of his bags because I already had a full collection of Dooney when I started seeing them everywhere and on everyone. But basically, in the circles in which I travel, I feel I would be judged LEAST for Coach. My friends carry no-name, Kate Spade, Coach, or Betsey Johnson. I am the only one who even bought Dooney and I think they thought I was being too preppy. But I am just obsessed with the quality and classic styles, which is why I want to move from the Dooney to LV. My goal is to have literally 4 or 5 bags that I use seasonally that aren't 800 pounds like a lot of the quality all leather bags are and LV is best for that. I don't know. Help? Thoughts?

I gave all my 'The Bridge' and Ferragamo bags away to a family member (15 of them) when I fell in love with LV 20 years ago. Since then I have never purchased anywhere else with the exception of a Mansur Gavriel bucket bag because I love it's clean lines.
Some bags I have sold because although beautiful I wasn't getting use out of them:
-speedy
-monogram bowling etoile
-fetish shine locket
-Olympie bag
-two suhali bags
-Boulange
-and more wallets than I can remember lol

I have a few of mass market designer bags, such as Coach, coccinelle . I bought coach from eBay (brand new condition), thinking I would use it for work or when I don't want to use my LV. Turned out its sitting in my closet and I'm thinking selling it and a few of my LV pieces to fund black epi bag.
I can't force myself using anything non LV.It's sickness.

I find myself using my contemporary designer bags on days I don't want to worry about my bag (coach, Kate spade, Tory B). I own 4 LVs and 1 Balenciaga and prefer those more than I ever imagined.

I got rid of a lot of my contemporary bags like my RMs and other coach and Kate spades that I sold off.

I use to LOVE Brahmin bags. They are very well made and the leather is high quality. When I started building my LV collection, I just couldn't completely part with my Brahmin collection because they are beautiful bags with so many color options. So I gave my entire collection to my mom. She loves my Brahmin bags and I am happy that I know they are being used and appreciated. And... It's nice to know that if I ever want my bags back, I can "borrow " one occasionally from my mom.

I love Brahmin. Such good bags. I own one and I use it. It's the small anytime mini. Awesome clutch size for going out and I have used the hell out of that thing. I sold off ALL my coaches. It was a turn off to me to see them always on clearance. I do love love my Longchamp le pliage. I'll continue to get those. I usually get the seasonal LE ones over the usual solid colors. I have 2 of those. I own one Henri Bendel cross body. It was the closest option to an Hermes Evelyne which I want but just cannot justify or afford. That's it. In my collection I have one bag and one SLG of Mulberry, Gucci, and a few LV at this point. Lol. One day it would be cool to own an Hermes Evelyne.
