Lots of fashion houses and businesses survived that period by sucking up to who ever is in power. We know nothing about the life or lifestyles of our current designers. We dont know which ones hire photographers who couch cast their models. We know how some do drugs. We dont know about the lives of bankers who invest our money when you collect interest from the bank. Or anything of that sort. Its a rabbit hole if we start digging.
I have no idea why it is an issue for you guys about me being 17 and owning designer goods.
I hope some of you know that 17 year olds do have jobs nowadays...I'm no "heiress" (I would have to be a girl to be an heiress.) that has his "mommy" buy him nice bags that matches hers.
I work 7 days a week on top of being a full time student and the school I commute to gave me a full scholarship so all of the money I make can be used for these purchases.
I grew up with parents that started a business from scratch which propelled me to learn to work hard get what I want from a very young age.
The brain is not PHYSICALLY mature until you are 25...but, there are many other factors that contribute to a person that possesses a mature personality. Maturity and immaturity is variant among people of all ages. Not all 17 year olds are impulsive and immature like Holden Caulfield. (He is definitely not an archetype for all the teenagers out there.)
I hope this shows that I do have other things to do other than collect fancy bags.
Oh and I did not proclaim class boundaries so please stop twisting my words. I said I felt pity because I THINK (<--opinion not factual) that MK customers have been lied to and deceived with something that they find as a quality designer goods when its something that is mass produced and overpriced.
Now please can we get

I am just sorry for the sarcasm that people threw at you. I wish people here can be more supportive. This is one of the reasons why I am here. Compared with some forums that are full of haters, I feel TPFers are much more sane.
I have to say at this young age you have already developed a sophisticated taste, and I really admire your collection. I like the fact that in your rather small collection, each piece is unique and exquisite. You definitely put a lot of thoughts into your purchases. Please keep up the good work.![]()
Thank you so much!!! That was so nice of you!! You made my day! Yes TPFers as a whole are definitely much more sane I agree.
I am with you too ! I will always stand behind a bag lover.
Since you are (much) younger, i would still say, learn to take care of your purchases. I wish someone taught me that when i was younger.
I may be alone here but I really do not see the appeal of Bottega Veneta..To me they look like beach bags
