Designer Brands You Will Never Buy

I love this thread, it kind of lets me be honest about my opinions on bags that I couldn't say elsewhere. I've personally always thought the LV monograms with the cherry design is very low-end and looks like it belongs in a flea market/chinese produce store. It just looks incredibly cheap and poorly designed.
I also don't understand the Fendi Baguette. I've seen maybe 2 people pull it off, and that's only if they're incredibly petite and thin. It just seems like such an inconvenient bag to put stuff in and it just doesn't look like it fits for everyone.

I use my baguette as a makeup bag in my travel bag (Goyard St. Louis PM or Chanel Graffiti backpack). I would never use it as an everyday bag or even a clutch bag because it's shaped so awkwardly and the strap is tiny.

I have a personal dislike for Coach, but I have bought a few for my sister because she LOVES them. I like the style of the Hermes Birkin but it is just too large, MIGHT consider a Kelly when I start making a little more $ but overall I consider that brand a little... boring [don't shoot me :)]. I used to love Juicy Couture but I feel like I am too old to carry one now. Other than a clutch for very specific evening events I won't carry anything that won't fit on my shoulder or crossbody, just too inconvenient. I do love LV, Chanel, and a few Michael Kors :)

Kate Spade, Tory Burch, MBMJ, or any bag that costs as much as a decent used car. Even if I could afford it. Its a purse, not an investment account. I dont like Coach print bags but if they had a nice understated well-made leather bag I'd consider it. Any bag with too much metal is out, I think excessive metal on a bag looks tacky and adds to the weight.

I love balenciaga but the only thing I hate about it is the regular hardware!!. I feel like the regular hardware just makes the bag look sad and depressing... It just doesn't appeal to me. And when it the hardware color fades it look bleh! It makes the bag look dead and cheap. Its so weird that I would only carry a balenciaga if the hardware is the giant 12! Like just the type of studs makes a huge difference for me. I looooove giant 12 hardware. I HATE giant 21 because It is waaay too big, not my taste.

Chanel due to her history with the Nazi SS and the Gestapo.

Woah, this is so rare that I found someone who won't buy Chanel for this reason!! Almost all my fashion lover friends adore Chanel and rock a Classic Flap (I actually like the look of the bag) but I would never buy a Chanel (bag or anything from that house) b/c of her association with the Nazi. My friends think I'm being stuck up and ludicrous but these things matter to me because I love reading and knowing about the history of the designers that I purchase...I also would never buy Hugo Boss for the same reason.

Dior, because their bags tend to look really prissy. Despite JLaw promoting them. Love the campaigns, hate the bags. Prada, because their prestige factor's so over what with the sea of rip offs, their designs haven't been exciting for a long time, the workmanship's shot to hell and the stories I hear about them being made in China now. Gak. Have a Prada I'm thinking of offloading if it wasn't for the scratch on the touted indestructible saffiano leather(not!) and the gold hardware tarnished beyond polish. And it's barely 3 years old!!! Tsk!!
