Designer Brands You Will Never Buy

I will never go near a Louis Vuiton boutique. There are so many fake LV and so many trashy girls wear even real ones that the wholee idea of this brand became for me some sort of joke, a parody.
For this very reason I won't buy Burberry classic print items like scarves or bags.

My "dislike" is all-over prestigious monogram prints in general.....LV Mono. Canvas, Gucci monogram/Guccisima, Diorrisimo... I feel like they're so easily counterfeited, and after so many sights of counterfeits I'm always dubious about monogram prints when I see them.

My "Hate" are just.... Contemporary monograms. MK, Coach, DB..... Ugh, no thank you (Please don't shoot me!). I've been starting to hate MK ever since they launched lookalikes of Speedys and Neverfulls in his signature MK print. And even more when they manufactured a knockoff of LV's Damier print (which I love so much) with the MK in the background.

I don't get the big deal about (again, please no death threats!!) the Balenciaga bags; I'm just not a heavy hardware nuts and bolts type of girl. I also don't get the Burberry classic house check (although I love the darker, smoked plaid canvas) and, I know I'll offend many, the classic BLACK with GOLD HARDWARE Chanel flap...... Maybe I'm just not a black/gold person though, because I love their nude/pale pink/red/gray/silver/any other color counterpart, the Boy Bags, the SLGs and the WOCs. Just me though! :P

Anything monogram, though I won't say absolutely never to LV or coach because some of their plain leathers seem to be nice. I think I'm going to pass on just about anything tory Burch, too... Too many quality issues. Anything that is a knock off of another brand, especially all of the lesser designers chanel-style bags.

LV: don't do monogram & far too many fakes about
Hermes: something about them I don't get. Too showy maybe
Any designer brand bag made for a man unless it's a woman carrying it! Sorry just a big no no for me (prob showing my age)

Balenciaga. For the price, the leather is not great. My sister has three Bals (she loves the style) in yellow, black and red. And all of them had issues like hardware falling off or worn corners and handles. They are less than 5 years old but they look terrible for their age. And knowing my sister, she takes good care of them. Even my Coach bag (first bag) of 7 years looks much better and has no issues. IMHO Bals are not worth the price for the quality you get.

I agree

I love this thread, it kind of lets me be honest about my opinions on bags that I couldn't say elsewhere. I've personally always thought the LV monograms with the cherry design is very low-end and looks like it belongs in a flea market/chinese produce store. It just looks incredibly cheap and poorly designed.
I also don't understand the Fendi Baguette. I've seen maybe 2 people pull it off, and that's only if they're incredibly petite and thin. It just seems like such an inconvenient bag to put stuff in and it just doesn't look like it fits for everyone.

Ooh I agree with the cherry LV. I liked the shape of this bag, very ladylike.

But it had to have that print and bow! it became too precious for me.

I don't really hate designer brands. Its all about personal taste, budget and how the bag will be used.

I personally won't buy Rebecca Minkoff because its not my style, also Tory Burch. I am pretty much open to other designers.

I used to appreciate the quality of Dolce and Gabbana bags, yet recently I missed a press button in one of my bags, and it has been in the boutique for months now and still it has not been fixed yet that said and they haven't provided me with an approximate date for it to be ready
