Designer Brands You Will Never Buy

I wasn't a fan of the LV Monogram either until I saw a Manhattan. It's so Marc Jacobs, I fell in love on the spot! Plus the front pockets are crazy useful for phone, keys, etc

I am not a fan of anything that Murakami designed for LV (multicolor monogram, cherry blossoms, etc). It just screams "Hello Kitty" to me. Meh...

I will never buy anything from Tory Burch ever again. Their customer service is horrendous--literally the worst I've ever experienced--and the couple pairs of shoes I have were really poorly made (like, falling apart). I think their purses are cute, but it's just not worth the risk.

Tory Burch. I think the brand is super overrated for what it is. Not a big fan of the TB emblem on their shoes. It's too flashy.

I will never buy a Coach either. Maybe if it's their leather handbags with NO brand on it at all, but I find their "monogram" a bit flashy and over the top.

Michael Kors. I know other designers get "inspired" by other designers, but he blatantly copies every other high-end designer. It's ridiculous. He copies Chanel, Dior, LV, Prada...I can't stomach it every time I see one of his bags. No offense to anyone who buys his stuff; I've never bought any of his bags so I can't say anything about the quality, etc. but personally I can't buy his stuff on this principle alone.
I agree also. How does he get away with it? Michael Kors blatantly copies every other designer, and hangs his big MK logo on the bag. I would never buy anything from him. I don't understand why the other designers don't sue for stealing their designs.

I find it interesting that most hate on coach or dooney are from new posters....is it because of the logo (they do have lots of quality leather in fact much better than some luxury brand) or because it is such a massed brand with everyone carrying one? This is not to offend but curious, as I can relate. Prior to joining this fabulous forum, I was so anti Coach because I felt betrayed when they produce the C logo bag to every monogram deprived women. :p then this forum reawaken my love for coach leather plus they totally redeemed themselves with the Borough.

Here's my list

LV canvas material soooo overpriced if they cut the price by 50% and put a gun on my head then...maybe
MK- very boring
Kate Spade, they are affordable but they look cheaply made same with Tory Burch
Balenciaga too many frills and not enough thrills
Bottega Venetta, I respect the craftsmanship but the weave bag reminds me of the "banig" which is a handwoven mat us Asians sleep on. Very uncomfortable and gave me nightmares.
Miu miu- the current line aka Edward Scissorhands wardrobe
Celine phantom, if I wanted to carry a grocery cart, I'd go to Piggly wiggly.
Birkin- after Kanye desecrated one, I will always have a vision of a distorted naked woman on a birkin who looks like Kim Kardashian.<shivers>
Chanel- not the bag but the service. I asked the SA what kind of leather and she had this confused look and said what else a cow. Wrong lamb! I had no intention of getting a Chanel but I was in Vegas and drunk and wanted to mess with the snooty SA plus I blew my money on the penny slots.

I am saving up for a JW Hulme bag especially finding out they are STILL made in USA and they look very good quality.

Loved your take on the brands. With Coach I don't feel like they are coming from new members. I actually feel the opposite. The new people usually love coach and then after here getting exposure to other brands move away from coach to try new things. For me I think the dislike comes from not only the C logo but the way they market in regards to the outlet sales and production. I think everyone has had a Coach at least one time of another. For Dooney I think it got to rep of being too immature with theirs colored line and then too old lady like. Their new stuff as of the last year or two has been awesome. Personally I feel they are an under rated brand. They have really great quality bags and really great Customer service. Coach has great service too. As well as coach also makes some great all leather bags. I have 2 that I will not part with. But aside from that no more coach bags for me. There is no appeal. I have one Dooney that I just got and love. Been carrying her for over a month now. I have seen Hulme bags and love they are still made here. I really wish they had more items that were made in the US overall. My current fav is Mulberry. :-).
