It looks like the parcel could be stuck at the port of entry in your country.
I would advise you to contact your seller for placing a "Nachforschungsantrag" (search request) for further details. Not reason to panic yet.

DHL Paket on facebook has replied to my request:

...Normally the transportation to the US, handover and local handling process take 10-12 working days. Unfortunately a Lufthansa strike caused delays, so we had to look for another transportation route (by ship) which takes more time. Your parcel should arrive soon, please be patient...

In two weeks if no tracking update I will ask sender to place a "Nachforschungsantrag"

Thanks you so much for sharing the info! Today it's 45 days since the package supposedly left Germany ( on November the 28).

Zen1965, maybe, I'm literally going crazy , I contacted USPS and US customs both but they said that the package didn't cross the US boarder yet, so it's either in the air or in the ocean somewhere between Germany and the US. I wish my seller was more friendly and certantly more reliable , but she does not speak German to help with the search request. Another member of tPF helped me with the search request and filed it all for me last Thursday and I received the auto reply saying that they received my search request. I have read here that there should be a case number for the request, but I didn't receive any case number though it was 1 week since the search request was filled.

Tomorrow I am going to go ahead and try to call Deutsch post ( I hope there will be someone who does speak English) and see if they will help me though I would think they might need the case number which I never got. So i don't know.... I'm so tired of worrying about it but cannot just give up , it was expensive bag after all (((((

If these are ebay sales, make sure that you don't go beyond the time period for opening a dispute. If is it past the estimated time for delivery, you might want to open an INR claim. You can close it once the item is delivered and everything is fine.

It's commercial PayPal (up to 180 days), plus the package is ensured as it costs.... next time I may ensure x10 times of its cost to get some profit from DHL "efficiency" ;o) but more likely I'll never use DHL again (it was first time I tried DHL) ...

Sadly speaking this was not an ebay transaction.
LenaK made this purchase from a private shopper ( Instagram ) located in Germany & did a wire transfer.
She will not have the opportunity to open a dispute

Got my package... tracking sucks, just delivered out of blue; quite slow but it gets here eventually, hopefully you will have yours soon as well...

lucky you! Unfortunatelly mine didnt arrive still.... I think it got lost because it was sent much earlier than yours...
I will have to wait for the investigation result through...i will see what they gonna tell me
