Confused and need help with a date code!
My mother has only ever bought from LV shops; however I am unable to ask for her clarification on this one.
I looked up this date code and it isn’t valid? Could someone help?
Here are some pics:
From a quick search A2 corresponds to made in France circa 1988-1994, the rest would be March 95 according to that era (not talking about authentication, just reading the date code :) )

it probably has the chip rather than date code tag -- I think LV has been using the chip since March 2021 -
there's info in this date code thread -

Hey, does anyone know what factory/country ‘LD’ refees to? It is inside my “time out“ monogram trainers- but I cant seem to see online the country it corresponds to. Also, 2021 world tour items, do they also no longer come with a date code because mine doesn’t.
thanks!

I think I've hit the right place to get an answer. I'm seeing here that LV stopped putting date stamps in wallets and such. I bought a small mono zippy last year that had the Made in France stamp, so I never bothered looking for the code. Today I received a (poorly made) large mono zippy wallet. It only has "Louis Vuitton" and "Paris" stamped on the inside. How are we supposed to find out where they were made? I don't mind their wallets made in Spain, but I will not fork out a small fortune for a Made in the US. I'm the same way about Prada and their Made in China. Is there a way to find where it was made? I ordered this online from LV. Not near a shop.

I'm SO sick of designers continuing to raise their prices, lower their quality and hide the country of manufacture. Grr!

I think it’s insulting to compare a made in USA piece to a Prada made in China. The US doesn’t pay their workers 35 cents per hour in poor working conditions. Also, There is typically a care card inside that says “made in USA from imported Materials”. I don’t believe anybody is trying to dupe you at LV.

Feel free to be insulted, but it only tells me you've totally missed my point. My opinion on this issue is well known and I stand by it.
