My husband came home and surprised me with a Petit Sac Plat that he bought from Louis Vuitton today.
I am absolutely in love with it, but it has no date code stamp?
Obviously I am not worried about it being a replica..but just wondering if some just don’t come with any?
It’s stamped as being made in Italy, if it matters ‍♀️

New items don’t have date codes any more

hey so I just got a brand new keepall xs from the boutique, I am confused as I saw on a YouTube video that all LV bags should come with that little sticker with the QR code and item number, but mine just came with a barcode sticker (with item number but no QR) and the Materials card. I am in Australia, when I asked again at the boutique they just said they don't usually include the QR sticker, not to worry about it. They didn't even know what i was talking about, to be honest!

I am new to the forums here, from an old post about 4 years ago it says this might be an Australian thing that they throw out the QR code thing? but in the US they always include it? For the record, never planning to sell this gorgeous bag! So what's the big deal about the QR code when we have receipts and online purchase history etc? What's so important that we have to keep it? Thanks :)

Hello

My case is the opposite. I got an offer for 1 piece of toiletry bag 26 (rare to find nowadays), when I saw there was a date code embossed inside the lining and when I checked the meaning of the date code it said that the LV bag was produced somewhere between July 2021 in Spain.

So that's why I'm confused. Isn't it that if it's produced after March 2021, there's no longer a date code inside the lining? Why is this even there? I question its authenticity.

Has anyone here had an experience like this too? please advise, thank you

SLG’s are different. I believe they still have date codes. Microchips are reserved for leather goods and up. Ready to wear and textiles also don’t have chips. Processing returns, we only check leather goods/handbags…

thank you so much for the info
But is it still possible for Toiletry 26
to have only a microchip installed instead of a datecode?
Because I have two offers from two sellers

the seller #1 offers me the one with a date code, manufactured somewhere in July 2021
series: M4754 (see pics below)

Seller #2 offers me the one that has microchip inside. So there won’t be any datecode embossed inside the lining.

which one you think it’s more convincing?
thank you so much .

The top pic is made in US. The second is made in France and third in Italy. If it doesn't have the made in stamp, it's made in the US.
Thank you for clarifying that. I just received my wife's boite chapeau souple mm today direct from LV. We havent bought anything since last christmas so we were not aware that the date codes had been removed from the bags. I ended up calling customer service since i was confused about not seeing the date code. My wife enjoys knowing where and when the bag was made. CS told me that all the date code were removed since March 2021.

So I guess the good thing is that the bag does say Made In France on the inner tag.

is there anyway in finding out when the bag was made?

Your bag should have a chip in it. You'd have to take it in to LV and have a CA scan it on their Icon phone. The info should pop up.

Confused and need help with a date code!
My mother has only ever bought from LV shops; however I am unable to ask for her clarification on this one.
I looked up this date code and it isn’t valid? Could someone help?
Here are some pics:
