New items don’t have date codes any moreMy husband came home and surprised me with a Petit Sac Plat that he bought from Louis Vuitton today.
I am absolutely in love with it, but it has no date code stamp?
Obviously I am not worried about it being a replica..but just wondering if some just don’t come with any?
It’s stamped as being made in Italy, if it matters ♀

I took my Speedy 30 into store and insisted they scanned and provide me with info. After much hesitation and griping one associate did.So there is no tag on the inside of the bag that says Louis Vuitton.
I also emailed LV and asked them to tell me where it was made and they said they can not tell me because they have no way of knowing.
SLG’s are different. I believe they still have date codes. Microchips are reserved for leather goods and up. Ready to wear and textiles also don’t have chips. Processing returns, we only check leather goods/handbags…Hello
My case is the opposite. I got an offer for 1 piece of toiletry bag 26 (rare to find nowadays), when I saw there was a date code embossed inside the lining and when I checked the meaning of the date code it said that the LV bag was produced somewhere between July 2021 in Spain.
So that's why I'm confused. Isn't it that if it's produced after March 2021, there's no longer a date code inside the lining? Why is this even there? I question its authenticity.
Has anyone here had an experience like this too? please advise, thank you

Thank you for clarifying that. I just received my wife's boite chapeau souple mm today direct from LV. We havent bought anything since last christmas so we were not aware that the date codes had been removed from the bags. I ended up calling customer service since i was confused about not seeing the date code. My wife enjoys knowing where and when the bag was made. CS told me that all the date code were removed since March 2021.The top pic is made in US. The second is made in France and third in Italy. If it doesn't have the made in stamp, it's made in the US.
Your bag should have a chip in it. You'd have to take it in to LV and have a CA scan it on their Icon phone. The info should pop up.Thank you for clarifying that. So I guess the good thing is that the bag does say Made In France on the inner tag.
is there anyway in finding out when the bag was made?
Sometimes they counted weeks starting from end of December, I think I read that here in earlier pagesPurchased an LV Croisette with date code ML5230. It was a leap year…does anyone else have an authentic bag made in a leap year with the 53rd week listed?
I’m absolutely loving it, it’s become my daily carryHow do you like the backpack? How does the leather hold up?
