^ "Good quality" meaning it erases well. For example, some erasers I buy to erase my pencil work dont work well... it just ends up spreading my writing all over the paper leaving a gray mess all over. This is NOT the kind of eraser you want to use on your bag or anything else for that matter. You want the kind that erases the pencil work so your paper is like brand new. I use the brand "staedtler mars plastic" it is white colored and comes in a bar shape. It works really well, but the best kind you could use is of that quality but in the pencil like clicker form so you just click and more of the eraser comes out, this way it makes it easier for you to target the dirty parts of the piping (its hard to explain but I hope you know waht im talking about). Either will actually work fine.

By "clean" I mean your eraser must not have any dirt on it already otherwise it will just spread that dirt onto your bag. Hope this all helps! =)

OMG you literally meant eraser!! Thank you so much!! I thought you were referring to the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Sponges that i've been hearing about. I will definitely try your suggestion!!

I am about to sell my Damier Speedy 25 to buy the Azur Speedy 30 because I wanted a larger Speedy... I found meanwhile, that the red lining transfers color to my daytimer page corners and my wallet. So now reading this chain, I am wondering if I should reconsider. Do you ladies have suggestions?? Please? :wondering

i don't wear cheap jeans either (always between $300-$500) but this is quite common with any bag that is lighter in color or made of fabric. If jeans get wet or rubbed on they will loose color! I have a friend that had a dior fabric speedy style bag and denim rubbed off on it too! Her bag was a fuchsia pink color too!

i try to wear light jeans (citizens of humanity never leave me stains, i've noticed?) whenever wearing light-colored purses. but i get 'em w/ my true religions too & hate it! i experimented with makeup remover & it actually got a majority of it out!

also, i've heard many ppl say on here that they use a protector on their purses such as apple gaurd or vectra.. to prevent &/or make it easier to remove the stains? haven't tried it myself but am considering it.

I have read other posts from other threads that members were successful using Mr.Clean Magic Eraser, wiping lightly. One person even left her Azur bag in her car for several hours and turned the canvas yellow from the sun and the magic eraser removed the yellowing as well. I have not tried this myself, but if it should happen to me, I will try the non-alcohol baby wipe first and if it does not work, I will try the magic eraser. I would think that applying a protector might help remove any stains that do happen. I have only used protector on the leather; however, I have used Apple conditioner around the edges of my wallets which I think has kept the edges from breaks and the need of later reglazing. An SA told me to do this when I took a wallet in for reglazing on the edges and ever since then, no problems.

Just a theory, but if you have problems with color transferring from denim, could it be that they are being washed with a detergent that is designed for dark and black clothing? These detergents (Woolite makes one) have a dye in them and maybe if the washer doesn't rinse thoroughly it could result in a residue which would rub off on your lighter colored handbags.
I just bought an azur Berkeley and now you've got me scared of the canvas. I like it when the vachetta ages, but I'm worried about the white canvas.

I've read alot about people treating the vachetta, but has anyone tried pretreating the canvas with Apple Guard or Scotch Guard or anything similar?

:)

I have the same problem!!! My speedy 30 has a big blue stain on the side that rubs against my jeans!!! My jeans were not cheap either, all in the 300 range and it still rubbed off on the bag! I went to the LV store and they told me there's not much i can do about it...i was a bit mad, but i guess there's not much LV can do for me.

I tried the white erasers that you get from staples and those didnt help...my friend's bf suggested i use those big white ones. I'm so scared im going to spread the blue even more.

I experienced the same thing last night! I got my first LV last month, and I've only carried my azur speedy less than 5 times. I was devastated when I noticed blue stains everywhere on my bag. It's really dark on the corners, too. I can't believe I didn't notice it untill it got that bad! Well, I tried everything- baby wipes, erasers, mr.clean eraser, soap, water... nothing worked on mine. :crybaby:

I've got an azur agenda and the edges and corners had some red transfer from the inside of my Damier speedy. I just ended up using the coach leather cleaner and a rag and it was fine.

I've been using my Azur Speedy non stop. In the rain as well. The handlers are sorta dirty, please tell me how do I clean them?

The handles on the Azur are no different than the ones on the mono ~ there are threads on cleaning for that. Possible searches for "vachetta" may get you the information you need.

Just proceed with caution ~ don't go crazy ~ and start off with a test area with whatever method you use with the vachetta leather.
