Lovebags...let me just say I don't think it is necessary to make accusations regarding crimes etc... Please refrain from this kind of discussion..

I have noticed that the atelier has marked bags as 'trade samples' when they have been sent to me directly from Italy, presumably for the purpose of tax evasion. How they are declared is irrelevant to me because both Italy and the UK are part of the European Union and so goods from Italy are not subject to UK customs charges. However, I wonder if the same applies when they are shipping goods direct to the USA and whether US customers are receiving falsely declared parcels?

Karmen, This past week or two during my orders I've felt the need for a martini when sitting by my computer trying to order a couple BE's and this is coming from someone that rarely drinks. This is a sign and I'm taking note of it seriously. Thank you actually. I think you can tell I was torn and trying my best to give BE another chance in spite of all these negative experiences shared.

Lovebags - I am not comfortable with people making accusations regarding crimes here on the forum. .

LB2, I don't think you should order it. If it's taking this much of your time and energy thinking about all the things that could go wrong, why you dont' really want to give Jackie your business, what the value declaration would be if you have to return it, etc., you're just setting yourself up for a disappointment. There are lots and lots of nice bags out there, many that you can see IRL and know exactly what you are getting. JMHO.

LOL,You're probably right. But, it's a little too late. I already paypaled.;)

I'm going out in style ladies with my final 2 BE's. I'll keep everyone posted.

I agree with Contessa. My bags have all arrived in perfect condition, with one exception. It was handled quickly and painlessly by Jackie. I think it is fair to post another side to CS/QC in this thread. I'm sorry that some people are feeling frightened to purchase BE. There are those of us who are not and I am one of them.

I didn't know we were allowed to post positive things about BE in this thread. If that's the case, then I'm with risingsun.

Actually, I think Swanky said it best when she pointed out that this is a thread to post CS/QC issues, meaning t's not for "the other side" for which there are tons of threads.

Hi! I think we need to remember the intent of this thread. . . it's specifically for CS/QC issues
I know it's hard for people who love their brand and haven't had any issues to read this. But that's what this thread is for

Maybe I've misread this thread somehow, but from what I understand about LL's situation re: the matte purple CM is:

1- Her BEC consisted of INCORRECT lining colour

2- BE is willing to fix the problem and send a replacement handbag

Am I missing something???

Well, good God, Lovebags, WHY do you keep ordering BE bags if they're driving you to drink? It's all well and good that imperfect experiences are shared here, but you seem to have had like 87,349 of them. You answer every single post with a complaint of your own, plus you have brought the possibility of crime into the light. And you enjoy "biggering" everyone else's upset comments. You answer "Thank you most sincerely" for everyone's posts, but only if they are negative, thinking of things as "signs" for I don't know what all, you're torn to a million pieces, and trying oh, so very hard to give BE another chance. I rarely get ill over this kind of thing, but you take the cake, woman. Bless your heart, I really don't know what to think of you.

Yep, you are missing a lot. That is not what happened. I have the emails. Why my personal situation and private account details are being discussed with a third party by the company is beyond me, but whatever.

I emailed on Monday. Got proposed resolution Saturday. The answer said send bag to factory, mark value of my $650 bag at $20, which is according to my post master -- if we are avoiding legal terms -- wrong. You can call the Landing post office in new Jersey if you want to confirm. I am an attorney and cant fudge the value on customs.

I was never told what type of bag I would get- replaced or repaired. I asked repeated questions with my concerns on the leather.

The communications were poor imo. I got fed up. I will not communicate with them further. I am selling my be bags and want nothing more to do with this company. enough said.

Some of the highlights of their responses:

-It is no longer our policy to discuss details of what will be done

-Since it’s a mistake made by them they should pay for the replacement lining etc.

-please list a low value of $20 as the workshop requires this for acceptance

-Also, it was checked. (meaning the bag) They are Italian and for whatever reason have confused light blue for light beige.

-------

I trust this clears up any confusion.

*le sigh*

Ladies, we will NOT keep reminding people to stay on topic and not get personal, etc. . .
this thread IS ABOUT CS/QC issues ONLY. If you don't have one, I cannot figure out why you're posting here?
TAKE IT TO PM, better yet, add people to your IGNORE USER list please. You are disrupting, many people are reporting posts in this thread.

We won't keep asking

Moonfancy, I"m going to just ignore this post. I spoke of a martini in fun especially since this was my last purchase for all the reasons stated. I think many are nervous now about ordering thru BEC these days and as a result I made a (bad) joke.

Now, as for crimes I'm not the one that brought that to the discussion whatsoever. I suggest you go back and read the thread again. I was only asking questions after that point was already raised as it was news to me today. Period!

That said I've already stated my opinions and like Swanky has mentioned no need for any further comments.

OK, I see I was edited, I'm sorry if I didn't write what I wanted to convey in the correct form..I'll try again as far as the customs declaration...just trying to make people aware, that's all.

Quote from the Royal mail website...

"A false or misleading declaration may lead to a fine or to seizure of the item."

Also this is some additional information from a customs agent contained in an auction site tutorial....I recommend everyone do their research.

"
This is illegal in every country in the world. If a customs officer actually decides to examine the package and discovers the false declaration, your item will be seized, and someone will have to pay a hefty fine to get it back. I work for U.S. Customs and Border Protection and am currently assigned to HQ in Washington, DC. So I know of what I speak."

Again...I am stating that this is what I was asked to do when I wanted to return my large choc glossy Hug Me bespoke which was sent with the incorrect length straps. I did not feel like having something happen and me left without a bag and no money or recourse, or worse yet in legal trouble with a government agency.

I don't have a problem with stating concerns over sending the package back. I just don't want any specific accusatory discussions pertaining to anyone or any company. That being said, I'm not sure why everyone continues to discuss the topic? I believe the point has been made. If we could just use this thread to state the facts of a cs/qc issue and refrain from all of the opinions surrounding the issue, we would have significantly less problems in this forum.
