Suzi, yes yes. I found turmoil to be in deciding what to do with my BE choices but then once I made the decision I felt a sense of calm and relief.
And I'm having a martini in one hour for everyone here tonight. And yes I do mean everyone in a very nice way!
My friend that I'm meeting tonight just sent me a cute email saying how excited she is to show me one of her Bottega Veneta's tonight and I"m actually sporting my root IB midi. Now do you think we care? Heck no. We're just interersted in the conversation and will be happy for each other in having handbag happiness. Who cares which one is our favorite style or bag. That's not important.
This is a very stressful thread not only for those have problems but for those that don't and that refuse to hit the ignore button (I just can't myself - I'm reminded of what my father said that he once overheard, 'Don't even ignore them' 
). Anyway, the thing is I can appreciate what everyones saying and I suspect most other ladies do too, but I really don't like all this personal stuff.
Well, actually I do like to hear of a lot of personal stuff because I'm a nosey old mare BUT personal attacks on other members seem so harsh and so unnecessary and just seem so cruel. I don't like cruel.
Can we just leave this thread as somewhere where members can voice their problems, get some support (because I'd certainly need some if it were me) and hopefully get some advice and resolution?

This thread is insane. For someone new to the brand, this BE would not be an effective way for them to understand what issues exist with the brand, and how to potentially avoid those pitfalls.
In my opinion, I think the thread should be closed, a new one started, with VERY specific instructions on what content should be included. Problems and resolutions only perhaps. For example - from my own specific example:
I ordered a Maxi Orange Hold me on BEC. Received a regular size Hold Me. Jackie offered to make a new bag for me, but I didn't want to start the process over after waiting so long for the bag. I asked for an Angel Purse instead. It took a few days to agree on a color. I wanted a Pewter, but it was not available or on order. I ended up getting an Orange that matched the bag. In the end, I am actually totally happy with the bag size, and I love that little AP.
Trust me, I totally get that a lot of issues have not been resolved as quickly or happily.
Comments, while generally helpful and supportive to the person having an issue, don't seem to work with this group. I think LB had a suggestion of having a second thread for the 'discussion' aspect. I think that is a good idea, since it wouldn't water down the content of what are the situation and eventual resolutions.

It is really ridiculous to me that we need to make specific rules for a thread that runs smoothly in many other subforums.
This forum is constantly plagued with people going back and forth with one another in threads - people not allowing some to share their thoughts - I can't even name it all.
This is about BAGS. Let's all take some deep breaths and just CHILL.
I really hate to even have to type this, because it is not something I am looking to do - but we will just shut down this subforum if the drama does not end. Enough is enough, really. The amount of reported posts and PMs we get about this subforum alone amounts to the total of every other subforum.

The whole subforum would be shut down because of this thread, Megs? What about the suggestion a few people made about shutting down THIS thread and starting it anew? Look at all the really informative and positive and funny and happy and exciting threads this subforum hosts. What about those? And what about the BE people who have never contributed to this CS thread? What about them? They would lose their place to reveal their new bags, talk about possible bespokes, compare hardware, tease each other about this handbag sickness we all have, back and forth about designs, colors, etc. that we wish/hope BE will give us, become hysterical about BE sales, and on and on and on. Again, what about the people who LOVE this subforum and don't participate in this specific thread?
Moon, the problem is that this is not the first time that Vlad and Megs have had to threaten to shut this forum down, so I can understand their frustration.

As a newbie, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

To people who would like to interpret this as "BE is terrible and so these people no longer buy their bags" I would say that taste, circumstance and budgets can change and it is impossible to know without talking to those people why they are no longer here.
I really hope that this sf does not get shut down, I would hate to have to trawl through the general threads looking for Belenistas & their reveals. Megs is right that other forums have CS/QC threads a mile long and there isn't this drama. There are companies with problems that make anything here look trivial and they have customers who are passionate supporters and others who are pissed off...yet they don't seem to be at each others throats. Having said that, I think we should restart this thread because there is so much irrelevant stuff in here (I guess this post is one!) that customers looking for a quick reference of potential problems could go blind trying to read and wade through all the posts.
I've looked back at my posts in this thread and I hope I have never upset/offended anyone but it is really hard to be objective about yourself, so I do apologise if I have ever written anything that offends anyone.

I think expressing your opinion about BE whether negative or positive is one thing but the way in which certain members then react is completely unacceptable.
The BE forum can be a very poor reflection of the PF overall and I think all the drama needs to end.
I completely respect and support Megs decisions and I"m sure she'll find a solution.
It was my suggestion to start a new thread but to be honest I don't even know if that will make a difference. The drama will just probably continue. Megs has already given everyone here plenty of chances to behave in a mature and respectful manner toward each other.
