So, I didn't want to start a new thread and wasn't really sure where I should post this, but...

I have a Craie C24 Epsom and maanaged to scuff the front of it.

To me, after trying to rub and polish the scuff, it's clearly actual colour missing from the leather which has exposed the grey underneath. Has anyone tried applying a small amount of leather acrylic paint to cover blemishes on Epsom? I ordered a few variations of off-whites via the following and was honstly thinking of attempting to remedy this, as I know H won't be able to do much.

Am I insane to try this? To me, it seems like the only option. :confused1: I feel I am liking Epsom less and less these days...
White is a color that H will re-dye, I think it's worth asking the bag be sent to Paris.

The thing is, I'm from UAE and in our culture we wear a black garment called Abaya it is sort of like a cloak, and that is the main reason why a lot of the ladies from this side of the world avoid getting light colored bags because the dye from these Abayas transfers onto EVERYTHING! >_< bags, shoes, etc. And it is very hard to remove.
I never had any color transfer problems, but I had tons of other mini disasters with both black and light colored bags :confused1: I think I've just answered myself, I will also avoid light colored bags for regular use.

I have a evelyne 33 in beton Clemence and had not had any problems. Granted I don’t wear denim but I do wear dark clothing (shirt, cardigan...). Since the evelyne is unlined so I do use a insert. I would say that mine is still in great condition.
Which insert and colour do you use for the beton? Thanks!

Yikes... I did not know Epsom could be so finicky. Anyone else here have a similar "black dot" experience? I am not a big lover of Epsom so this makes me lean away from that leather. I thought E was supposed to be super scratch resistant, no? I am receiving my first chevre item tomorrow / Monday (preloved Piccolo) so I'm very excited to see how chevre feels in person.

Ohh wonderful! I just hope someone here has a similar experience but with denim... I'm in jeans half the time so really need to be able to wear with jeans. You must be so excited about your SO - please send photos when you collect it, that's a dreamy bag!
Wished I came across this thread earlier!! Just bought a bolide 27 in nata but epsom leather... now I’m reconsidering returning it in exchange for something else....

Take a look at this thread, I wouldn’t exchange if you like the color just because it’s epsom

Если нет глубоких царапин, грязь удаляется мицеллярной водой. Главное, не тереть и не мочить слишком много, так как Эпсом боится влаги. В данном случае я использовал Bioderma Sensibio H2O.

H fixes this type of damage in the spa. There are videos of craftsmen at their Hong Kong repair facility doing just this on youtube. (The video is in French but I think it might have English subtitles).

Can I get advice please, considering Craie B30 in Togo or Clemence. Which of the leathers would hold up better in time? I prefer Togo always, but because is a white bag I am open to other leathers. I don't like leathers with shine, like chevre, and prefer a matte look. Thank you!

I have a b30 Craie in togo and it has held up very well. No sheen, very chic looking. Clemence does get a slight sheen on it. Nothing like chèvre but very slight. If you don’t like any sheen at all, go with togo.

My mom has a big birthday coming up and I lucked into a Togo craie 30B, brushed gold hardware for her. She’s not all that careful with her bags, so I just told her no pens if she can avoid. and, pls don’t clip four phones to the sides (she did this to a 30 VN black Birkin that I loaned her, and I just said, pls keep that one. I’m compiling a list of things (like no pens, no phones) and I will add no dark denim.

I read the whole thread ; thank you all for sharing your experiences. BYW, she asked me if she could wear it in the rain with the rain coat, and I said, if it starts raining, take off your coat and cover the bag with it and run. Bc the rain coat will not protect the handles. . .

Do you guys use twillies? I’m not that fond of twillies or bag organizers but my bags are generally darker.
