I have a Constance 24 in RGHW evercolour. Had it for a bit over a year now and wear it a lot, with jeans as well. It’s been fine but i avoid black and very dark denim for sure. Still looks very good! I actually wanted craie but Beton came first so I took that first. It’s been over a year and I still haven’t found craie in any style so it was a good decision for me. I think beton js a little more grey than craie which is more creamish. I also have a Gris perle kelly and it’s also very light but held up very well!

Dropping by here as I’m contemplating a sellier kelly in craie ghw. Such a beautiful dreamy combination..

I’m generally a very careful person but I hate being paranoid about light colors. I wonder if I’m the only one that got daily normal usage signs showing up on the shoulder straps, corners of bags, even mild stains on body of bags. I’m not talking about major stuffs like color transfers, dropping on the ground or on soil etc. I just find I notice minor usage signs even more on light colored bags.

I haven’t plucked up sufficient courage to sink my funds into a craie/beton birkin or kelly as much as I really love looking at them online and on others. So far all my bags are in dark colors and so I crave a lighter color bag for variety. I just took home a beautiful beton pochette but I’m (still) afraid to use it yet.

I do have to say I’ve had fantastic experience with Clemence and Togo. Epsom have caused me the most grief due to scuffs and scratches. I use all my bags regularly.

I don’t know how often stores receive GP chèvre k selliers - supposed to be rare so many people choose chèvre when they SO.
My Epsom bags start to show tiny black dots after a few uses. I tried to wipe the area but immediately I noticed the texture of the leather started to change and though some of the stains could be removed, the surface change remained permanent. It became less noticeable overtime, but I know where it is and if I look for it I can still find it.
Also my constance buckle hit the leather a few times and made some surface scratches. It’s not that noticeable but definitely still there. Now I’m very careful around my Epsom kelly and so far it seems to be doing okay. My constance is of a light color (bleu glacier) and my kelly is bright pink. I have a feeling that darker color Epsom bags won’t get dirty easily but still scratches will forever leave a mark and it’s going to be more noticeable due to light reflection I believe.

I have used my sellier kelly for well over 7-8mths with no issues when one day while I was in a rush, I accidentally knocked it at the corner of a table. The corner was not sharp but it left a deep hole like dent on the body. I panicked and rubbed it gently for some time, eventually the dent disappeared and blended.

After that incident I felt I could try and rub off dents on a darker tone bag, but I’m not sure if I can do so with lighter colored epsom bags..

The lightest I can go is Gris Asphalte.. I had color transfer on my Gold Birkin and Gold is way darker than Craie or Beton =/ That is why I tend to steer clear from light colored bags although they are very pretty.

Oh no :( I was also thinking of Gris asphalt as the lightest neutral I can accept..

The thing is, I'm from UAE and in our culture we wear a black garment called Abaya it is sort of like a cloak, and that is the main reason why a lot of the ladies from this side of the world avoid getting light colored bags because the dye from these Abayas transfers onto EVERYTHING! >_< bags, shoes, etc. And it is very hard to remove.

Huh. I would think someone would manufacture or custom tailor some in a non-color-transfer fabric. It's interesting to know though!

I have a pre-loved Trim (matches my Gris Perle scarves) in Clemence that I wear all summer long. Even red currants leaking onto it (!) wiped clean but I did get a bit of transfer from a very dark wash pair of jeans (and a very hot humid day). I scrubbed it well and most came off, but I need to do a deep clean before it comes out this summer.

So, I didn't want to start a new thread and wasn't really sure where I should post this, but...

I have a Craie C24 Epsom and maanaged to scuff the front of it.

To me, after trying to rub and polish the scuff, it's clearly actual colour missing from the leather which has exposed the grey underneath. Has anyone tried applying a small amount of leather acrylic paint to cover blemishes on Epsom? I ordered a few variations of off-whites via the following and was honstly thinking of attempting to remedy this, as I know H won't be able to do much.

Am I insane to try this? To me, it seems like the only option. :confused1: I feel I am liking Epsom less and less these days...

I would send to H spa right away and see what they can do! Painting yourself risks H declining to ever spa your bag...
