Which will hold a checkbook? THat's what I really need!

Do they hold up well?

i have the bordeaux le compagnon and have used it for 2 years now. it's held up really well. the leather feels wonderful and it still looks great. i put my checkbook in it- no problem. i love the wrap around zipper. everything fits securely inside... when i use it as a clutch, i don't worry about it stuff falling out.

I have the money wallet and love it. The only problem is that the back of it is pretty scratched up from rubbing against things in my bag. I just wish the leather didn't scratch so easily.

I just bought a plomb money wallet last week. I love how all the compartments are organized. I just haven't started using it. I'm afraid it will get all scratched up as coda mentioned. I carry it in my bag with it placed in the dustbag still. But I'm still using my other wallet. I'm still admiring its pristine state.

I almost bought a black one but my SA convinced me to go with plomb (very dark grey) because it had more pop than the black and it won't show dirt as easily since its still a pretty dark color.

I love the Real Coin wallet. It's a small wallet, but holds a lot. It's also great to just grab and go if you don't want to take a handbag. I also love the little mirror. I got the Vert Gazon in Feb, then last week splurged and got the Aqua and Rouge Vif. I figure those cover most of the bases for colour.

If you carried a huge amount it wouldn't work for you, but if you want a smaller wallet, it's a great one!

I wish you well,

Bridget

I've always wanted a money wallet, but couldn't justify spending a lot of money on an accessory on top of the purses. I've also been concerned about the leather getting scratched by all the other stuff in my bag. I never thought of keeping the wallet in the dustbag.

Sorry but it would drive me potty to have to get my wallet out of a dustbag every time I wanted to get some money out.

Grateful thanks to the people who have issued the scratching warning. I was thinking of buying a wallet and will now stick to using my super robust black Mulberry Kenya instead.

I have the Money wallet as well. I haven't had a problem with scratching, because everything in my bag is organised into smaller bags, so there isn't anything loose floating around to scratch the wallet.

The wallet itself is great; very nicely organised, with lots of room for cards and cash both. I also like the Mini Compagnon.

I have the money wallet in anthracite. I love it!!!! I love the color and how it holds alot and keeps me organized. I don't even think of the scratching issue. I don't have time to drag it out of a dust bag. I want to enjoy it, with ease. If anything of mine gets too knocked around, I'll just get a new one. That's just life!!!!! :p

I have the same wallet as Bridget, only in black. I agree that it's a great compact wallet, and fits easily in my jacket/coat pocket.

I do find, though, that it tends to get bulky and hard to close if you try to stuff it with too many things. :push: So I have an ink coin purse to carry my non-essentials (i.e. receipts, misc. papers, etc.). :smile1:

I've scuffed it a couple of times, but thankfully the scratches came out after I applied some apple guard and buffed it.
