I have 2 Mulberrys currently (Alexa and a small Bayswater Satchel), hubby just bought me a second hand one which will be delivered tomorrow.
Also use a Marc Jacobs purse.

BTW I am going into my last semester at school. I dont have to pay rent but have to pay all my own other expenses, food, bills, school, ecet. My mom bought me both my coach bags (one my junior year in high school, one last year), my small Dooney barrel bag (8th grade lol!), and Im happy with my collection!

Just graduated from my university, but will be a medical student so I think that still counts! Being a pre-med and neuroscience major really hampered my ability to work (or have free time in general), but I did work summer jobs as well as at my school's animal care facility and as a research assistant at a local hospital for the past two years. My parents supported me in the sense that I got to eat food, drive my car to the hospital, and park my car on campus. Spending money came from my savings from working in high school/over the summer/on campus as well as Christmas/birthday money. That aside, most of my earned $$ went to shoes or clothes, I never really appreciated a good bag the way I do now.

Anyway, my collection is very modest and includes 2 Sabina bags (sturdy leather at a reasonable price - excellent for school), a Madewell bag, 2 vintage Coaches, a Gryson, an All Saints, a Stella McCartney for LeSportsac, and a few other vintage no-name leather bags. I recently sold a couple of Longchamps (in my opinion, not the best school bag) and my baby is a Cynthia Rowley leopard print and black leather satchel that my parents got me as a gift for my medical school acceptance.

I'm an art history major and my bag collection is very small:

LV Alma (technically is was purchased while I was still in high school)
Le Pliage in gunmetal (just recently purchased)
A taupe coach messenger (don't know the name)

I've consider making a bigger purchase like a Velo or a Rocco but like any big purchase I make I take forever to save and to research.

I'm a student and I love designer bags! Ive been going on ebay pretty much every day looking for really good deals, you'd be surprised! And I don't mind getting things second hand, some of the bags are in really good condition.

I am heading back for my final semester of college in Sept and so far my bag collection consists of: 2 Betsey Johnson (I'm still a huge Betsey fan), 1 Steve Madden crossbody (cheap from Winners), 4 vintage Coach bags (very cheap off ebay and probably some of my all time favourite leather), 1 vintage LV (good deal off ebay since I prefer vintage to new), also have a few other vintage bags and clutches that were purchased second hand. I currently work part time and go to school part time. If I can manage to find one good full time job in the near future I will be saving up for either an all leather LV bag to carry in the winter, or for a vintage LV papillon with the leather straps to carry in the Canadian winter.

What do you have in your bag collection and how do you pay for it?
Deadly Ponies mr leopard and mr market (perfect size for books, laptop and a lab coat :D)
They are perfect for me at the moment, great quality for the price point and only around $500 each
I have paid for them myself, along with a few Fossil/Coach bags.

Do you have a part-time job?
Yes. Most of us do.
I think university students keep the hospitality and retail industries alive with our blood, sweat & tears

Do your parents help you out?
They pay my tuition and let me stay. I pay them board

I guess I forgot to mention in my post that I am working a full time (April-Oct only) and part time job while going to school part time. I live on my own with a roommate in the city which is expensive and pay tuition out of pocket since I don't qualify for OSAP. If I can find a full time day job that is year round I would be able to treat myself more often to something nice. Crossing my fingers that happens soon LOL!

I worked part-time while I was studying for my undergrad. My parents/bf gifted me a few, but I also bought a few myself (Chanel included). Just graduated 2 months ago and still have over 20k saved in my savings. So I am not sure why people would find it unbelievable that college students are able to afford $1000+ bags without the assistance from parents. Here's what I have thus far, (I can't even remember the exact names for most of these, sorry)

1) LV Damier Ebene speedy 30 with strap
2) LV Damier Azur Neverfull MM
3) LV Damier Azur wallet
4) LV Monogram Pochette MM with gold chain
5) Prada wallet on chain in Camel/Camal(?)
6) Gucci tote in original monogram pattern
7) Gucci Sukey Tote in black
8) LV pochette in Nude
9) LV Alma in Nude (the pochette matches with it)
10) Chanel double flap in Caviar with silver hardware

Next on my list:
- Chanel single flap in Beige with Gold hardware
- Balenciaga

- Other designers but i do love totes, satchels, and crossbody bags.
