I'm a 3rd year med student. I started when I was 15, all thanks to my mom, another handbag/shoe addict. At 25, I have built a collection of about eh, 40-50 designer bags, all consisting of Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Dior (mainly, this was my first love), Balenciaga, YSL,
Fendi,
Prada and Mulberry. Shoe-wise, I also have about 40-50 pairs of CL, Ferragmos, Blahnik, and Choo.
My absolute favorite bags: Dior Diorissimo and Lady Dior
My absolute favorite shoes: Ferragamo varina and vara
Funding: While I was in HS, my parents gave me an allowance but on top of that, I was able to score a great waitressing job at a pretty high end vegetarian place that didn't serve alcohol (against the owners' religion), so that's why I was able to get the job in the first place. Tips were EXCELLENT and were the main contributor to my bag fund. I had to quit the job when I entered college, because my parents wanted me to focus on my studies (and get into med school) but they were nice enough to match my earnings in HS at my old job, so that was great. 2 years ago, I met my DH, so since then, he's been my primary source of income for bags. He doesn't really mind it though, he says my designer items keep their values better than his love and investment in electronics

Plus he says he's "investing" in me now in hopes to get more out of it later with my MD earnings. I always laugh, knowing pretty well that my future "MD earnings" will probably go towards more bags!
