I sold my size small (previously called mini) black caviar cch a few months ago because I had added so many unicorns lately, and thought it was best to sell one of my black bags. I instantly regretted it. Although unicorns are great, the ease and classic look of black caviar can’t be beat. So I sold one of my unicorns and bought another black cch. Unlike my last one, this one From 22P has the burgundy handle. I wasn’t sure if I would love it, but I DO 
I'm always debating if I should get another black bag, but you're right - it's just so classic and you can't go wrong! HOw's the caviar on this seasons coco? My SA said he was going on paternity leave, but was working remotely, and would let me know if they got any when the new season bags came in. Well, Jan 18th came and went, with no contact, and I didn’t want to bug him, especially when he was home with a new baby, so I figured they didn’t get any in. But on the 28th or 29th, I got a text that he had this bag for me.
So I think stock is still slowly coming in, and probably is not too late to hunt one down.
Now about the caviar; what I loved about my last black coco handle from 20A was the puffy, shiny caviar. It had the black handle And no edge stitching (some people have strong preferences for edge stitching, but I love both styles).
When I saw the 21K black cch pictures, I was in LOVE; glossy caviar and shiny gold hardware, exactly what I love. So I reached out in December to one of my SA’s at Nordys, since I had a bunch of gift cards, to see if he could locate one. But alas, all 21K in that color way was gone. Meanwhile, here on the Purse Forum, another member posted how disappointed she was in the black cch with black handle from 22P. She actually had both bags - she had purchased 21K for her mother, and then bought 22P for herself. She said the 22P cch with black handle was not as nice as the 21K and that the 22P had a bit of a wonky handle and the caviar was a little dull. Dull caviar was definitely not what I wanted, so that was disappointing to hear.
So even though I had originally wanted a black handle cch, when my SA texted me a picture of the 22P with burgundy handle, and I saw how shiny the caviar was, I said YES
BUT, I still was nervous having not seen the bag in person. And not sure I would love the burgundy handle.
So if you are still reading this long post, LOL, it has a happy ending; I love the bag, love the edge stitching and burgundy handle. The one thing I do NOT love is the new price. Small coco handles jumped from $4600 to $5000 for 22P.
My beautiful 20A coco handle was $3700 less than two years ago. But in Chanel Land, that is actually not too bad of a hike. I think we all are used to the ever-increasing price cycles.
Thank you! I will measure the drop and let you know in a little while. Trying it on last night it seemed to be the same length as my 20A cch. Not suitable for crossbody at that length. I forgot to add that I got the referral from this Nordstrom essay from someone here on PF. I am very thankful, he was wonderful to work with, and the bag came packaged perfectly.
Definitely appreciate the long post with important details! I'm one of those ppl that prefer the edge stitching but not opposed to no edge stitching. I do remember seeing posts about a season where people noted the handle not being straight. I won't be able to see the bag in person so I'll just need to ask for lots of pics and videos.
Totally with you on the price! I know some ppl have justified it by saying the lining is now leather but it hurts to pay that much more.

It was a beautiful bag but was not matching my wardrobe. I am actually leaning more towards a classic flap in white or a white in ivory tones. This one was too white for my taste. And thank you so much for sharing the website. You’re right any one of those will make the CCH pop. I will check it out. So far I’ve been able to mix it with my neutral pants and coats. I like the idea of wearing it with a camel color leather jacket too to make it somewhat less “feminine” lol.

Hello! So sorry for the terribly late reply. It’s the new medium/old small size (third smallest size)?
Honestly I kept going back and forth about it thinking it’s too big. But I do agree that the bag looks bigger in pictures than in real life. It’s really a good size bag! Any smaller would be really tight inside even though I carry very little typically. But it’s nice to know I can fit more when I need to. Also, smaller size would look off carrying on the crook of my arm.
Here is also a picture of me going out to brunch for Valentine’s day this weekend (please excuses the shredded lint paper on the floor… thanks to my puppy)! For your reference, I’m 5”2’-3’ and size 6.
