**Coco Handle** Club

Hi everyone! I am getting a small black coco handle but can’t decide between the burgundy/lizard embossed or black top handle!! For those of you who own a black CCH, why did you pick the top handle color that you now have? Is one easier to style than the other? I plan on using my CCH for more formal events as well as with summer dresses and my wardrobe is mainly black, white, ivory/beige, and blues.

Also, anything I should look out for in terms of quality? I know asymmetrical flaps and bent/tilting top handles are common issues - anything else I should keep in mind when picking a CCH either in general or from 22P specifically?

Check the bottom 4 pointy corners! I've seen coco's in store that already have scruff marks.

Curious, did you see black coco handles with burgundy handles in 22P? I've only seen black handles for the quilted, light ghw in 22P

Such a beauty, saw in Harrods today but on the fence about the colour. Tempted by this and the light blue

I was debating the same but given this is my first CCH, I went with a safer color. If the blue is still around next month I’ll check it out in person. This white is a true white and looks great with the GHW.

Congrats! I bought one too! But so so nervous wearing it as I only have dark skirts, pants, and trousers. I am thinking of getting some light color skirts and maxi dresses. It was my dream to own a Chanel in white but now I am very nervous touching it even. It is such a beautiful snow white color! But I am also afraid of not using it as often I should.

How do you plan on using it? On what types of outfits. Would love to know your thoughts.

Thank you and congrats to you too. I’m on the same boat as you. Tbh I recently purchased a few pieces just for this bag haha. I got a pair of white pants, white and beige maxi skirts, light colored coats, etc. May be when they arrive we can exchange mod shots for ideas. For the handle, I ordered a white twilly so it will blend in with the bag. Please share any other ideas that you have as well!!

The creases look better in pictures than they do in person, but they’re definitely noticeable. I plan on calling my local boutique to see if there’s anything that can be done. Does Chanel take bags in for repair? I feel like they have so many quality issues they won’t do anything about the creasing. I’ve only worn the bag a handful of times and do not overstuff it when I do wear it.

Yes Chanel does repairs, I had some loose stitching and took it into Chanel and they sent it back to Paris to be repaired. Good to ask you SA if they can do anything repair wise for this.

I have a small CCH and I am considering getting a mini one too.

Could you share your thoughts on having one of each size, especially if you already own the both sizes? Thanks in advance

I would say go for it if your current CCH is one of your favorite bags and you don’t mind that it doesn’t fit your cell phone/don’t typically carry a lot if things in your bag.

I don’t have both sizes but have definitely thought about getting a mini as well. I like that you can wear the mini size crossbody and would get it in a different/fun color.

Yes! The 22P lookbook calls it the “lizard embossed” handle. I got one myself and have seen it pop up in the boutique/store stock updates thread, the most recent one being yesterday from @nat74

I just added the mini size coco handle in 22p light pink color to my collection! I already have a small size coco handle in black. These two beauties are gorgeous!

Thank you!! I have yet to use my new CCH but I did hold her up against some of my clothes and found it easy to match. I don’t have a lot of bright or bold colors in my closet though so that probably made it easier.

The lizard embossed handle is a very dark burgundy so in my opinion, it is actually quite neutral - looking at the stock thread I sometimes even mistake it for the black handle! The black handle is equally beautiful though so you can’t go wrong with either, especially if you plan on using a twilly!
