Based on your own experience I feel certain it’s not a good day bag for me, even though it’s incredibly beautiful. My sunglasses are prescription. Since they would be difficult and expensive to replace if damaged I am super careful with them and like to use the hard sided case they came in, even though it’s annoyingly bulky. I have the small (now called medium), and it will be a very tight fit for your items. The flap is not my issue. For me, the issue is the divided sections which you end up with two little sections. I find the middle zippered section almost worthless except to hold small items. If you have a huge eyeglass case, it may be a challenge to push it in because the bag design is a trapezoid, so the top opening is narrower than the bottom and the top opening is not that flexible due to the stitched center compartment. I would definitely purchase a bag that offers a refund. To me, I think you’ll be on the edge of usability. As FYI, I had this big Prada eyeglass case, and it was super hard to stuff in and get it back out. I switched to a soft nylon pouch and it worked fine but I had to adjust.

One other item is the handle. The drop is very short, and the handle is a bit stiff. I hand carry mine so it’s not an issue. However, the few times I’ve had to stick it through my arm, it was not really comfy as the handles are round and stiff, not flat.

I love the CH and have been using them a lot now (I have a black and a green). I thought this would be another bag I could collect, but no. My big deal breaker is the divided sections which make the bag a bit not usable for me as I cannot carry a small water bottle as it takes up the entire depth of the bag after I push it in. So, another adjustment to use this bag, and only recently I realized I’m sacrificing too much for this bag. I recently just decided no more CCHs for me unless it comes in a jumbo size that is wider (not more height or length).



I carry... mini o-case, lambskin classic card holder, small hand sanitizer, pack of tissue, eyeglasses, a few masks, two lipsticks. I put my phone in the outer pocket.

my SA just offered me a 21P navy CCH in medium/old small (with 7 quilts). i'm wondering if i should go for this size or wait for small/old mini in the same or similar color.

i'm 5'10 and size US14/16 (tall and chubby perhaps),

- would small/old mini look too small for my frame?
- is it possible to wear medium/old small crossbody?

i don't carry super big bags, 226 reissue is my biggest bag. i want to carry CCH as an everyday bag.

If you like small bags, then go with the old mini. The old small is not too big either... it's more of a medium size bag.

I'm only 5' and I need extenders to wear both sizes comfortably crossbody. With the original straps, the top handle sits right under my chest and looks too strange.

thank you, decided to pull the trigger on the navy medium/old small. i didn't want to risk a price increase in may, and thought since they are leather lined this season it is better value for money.

Got my hands on the 21P light pink/rose clair small (old mini) CCH with shiny gold hardware! I was placed on the wait list (4th) early January & got the call last Friday! The rose clair for 21P is warmer toned compared to 21C rose clair. In person, the color shows up mainly beige to me with light peach pink accents. She's also fully leather lined! I'm in love! She's my first CCH (Also posted a video unboxing & showing her off in different lighting if anyone is interested ) (cross-post from 21P thread)

In person, in natural lighting, the color shows up more as a peachy beige! The previous photo I used was under yellow indoor lighting. I’ll insert a few more pics. The first pic below is what I think the best representation of this color!

can someone with medium/old small coco handle confirm these pockets are normal?

i feel like they are way too loose for a brand new, boutique bought handbag. all my other bags have very tight inner pockets, so i’m confused.

Yes. Normal. Both my old small/new medium Coco Handles are like that also. I put a small hand sanitizer in the center round hole. Before COVID, it was a tube of lipstick but now liptstick goes in the back pocket.
The inside of this bag is just super cramped with pockets and sections that take away from real space.

thank you. i agree, i'm glad i didn't go for small/old mini size because there is no way i could have fit everything i carry which is not even that much (key holder, card holder, pack of tissues, coin purse, a couple of extra masks, iphone 12 pro max)

the loose pockets completely caught me off guard, i put my coint purse in one of them. and i'm thinking my phone might fit in the back mona lisa pocket if i took of it's case.

i put sanitary pads in the zipped compartment and mask and thin pack of tissues in the inside back compartment.

Since I broke my shoulder I decided to change over to a top handle bag for daily use. I was deciding between a medium Lady Dior and a Coco top handle. We don’t have a Dior or Chanel boutique in Charleston, so I watched videos on what each holds and how happy people were with their bags. I went with the LD as it was on my list before my shoulder injury & everyone who had them loved them, plus I already have Chanel CF’s in a couple sizes. I also heard a couple Coco reviews where people returned them because they felt they were difficult to open due to the way the handle and flap are designed.

I think for variety I’d still like to add the Coco to my collection. I will have to purchase pre-loved since there’s no boutique close to home. I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on how difficult or easy they are to open, and what size would be best for a day bag as I’m a little confused about the sizes. I’m looking for a size that will easily fit (without overstuffing) an LV mini pochette, small wallet, key pouch, small coin purse, sunglasses in larger hard case, small packet of tissues, plastic case for a couple extra face masks, and a travel pack of Purell hand sanitizer wipes.

Excellent questions. I’ve been wondering why there are so many Coco Handles on Fashionphile and I think your request for experiences helps me figure out why.
