Beautiful! Can you tell me the difference in sizes? I just purchased a coco handle in black with champagne hardware for $4300.00 and I’m so confused on the size references, is it a medium or a large? I think its the same size as a jumbo in terms of length?
Then is the small (as they refer on the web site, they have now extra mini and mini, then is your size.I believe they don’t produce bigger now.I just purchased the same in dark grey and the length is 28cm which is about 11.4/11.5 inches)

I don't have a picture of the 21S CCH! I asked my SA about CCH for 21S and she told me that they didn't have any for that season, however, I did hear that 21A is coming out with a light pink/rose clair CCH as well. 21S's light pink/rose clair looks very cool toned with purple/lilac undertones from the pictures I've seen of the classic flap on Instagram while 21P's light pink/rose clair for me is warm toned with peach undertones. 21P shows up more beige vs 21S shows up more pink imo. I attached a photo from Instagram (not my picture, top 21S, bottom 21C) that shows 21C rose clair against 21S light pink/rose clair! 21P is a bit more warm toned compared to 21C but I would say it resembles 21C in certain lighting (from comparing to 21C's rose clair on Instagram to my bag). 21P shows up different in different lighting which makes it hard to describe haha  The light pink/rose clair is kinda hard to get so I would suggest getting on a reserve/wait list asap! Overall, I think it depends on your color preference!

Thank you for your kind reply! This is so helpful (: I can’t wait to see 21A’s light pink CCH though, we have been showered with many gorgeous pink hues this year.

Purchased a coco handle yesterday but noticed a tiny tear through stitch hole. Maybe around 2mm. It is at the joint where opens and closes. I am wondering if it will get worse later on? Any advice will be appreciated. It is the grey spot on the picture

Yes, there are 3 sizes being produced. The naming convention on the sizes have changed in the last few months on the Chanel website and in these forums. I now use the Chanel product code when texting my SAs because they're very confused as well.

Largest size - Product Code: A92991
This one used to be called the "small" and the Chanel website calls it "large flap bag with top handle"
You can recognize it by the price ($4300), by measuring the base (~11 inches), or by counting the quilts (almost 8 quilts). This size is most comparable to the jumbo classic flap.

Middle size - Product Code: A92990
This one used to be called the "mini" and is now being call everything under the sun. Chanel website just calls it "flap bag with top handle" so some people call it the small or the medium.
You can recognize it by the price ($4000), by measuring the base (~9 inches), or by counting the quilts (6 quilts). This size is most comparable to the mini rectangular flap.

Smallest size - Product Code: AS2215
This is the new size that released a few months ago. The luxury community lovingly called it the "extra mini" or the "mini mini". Chanel website calls this one the "mini flap bag with top handle".
You can recognize it by the price ($3700 or $3800), by measuring the base (~7.5 inches), or by counting the quilts (5 quilts). This size is most comparable to the mini square flap.

By the way if you're shopping preloved on the Fashionphile, they still go by the old names for sizes, so you have "small", "mini", and "extra mini". Their "medium" coco handle are much bigger and are no longer being released with the latest Chanel seasons from what I can tell.

Thank you so much for the break down! So happens, I bought the largest size which is what I wanted as my first coco handle :)

Reactions: Bags & Bunnies
Since I broke my shoulder I decided to change over to a top handle bag for daily use. I was deciding between a medium Lady Dior and a Coco top handle. We don’t have a Dior or Chanel boutique in Charleston, so I watched videos on what each holds and how happy people were with their bags. I went with the LD as it was on my list before my shoulder injury & everyone who had them loved them, plus I already have Chanel CF’s in a couple sizes. I also heard a couple Coco reviews where people returned them because they felt they were difficult to open due to the way the handle and flap are designed.

I think for variety I’d still like to add the Coco to my collection. I will have to purchase pre-loved since there’s no boutique close to home. I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on how difficult or easy they are to open, and what size would be best for a day bag as I’m a little confused about the sizes. I’m looking for a size that will easily fit (without overstuffing) an LV mini pochette, small wallet, key pouch, small coin purse, sunglasses in larger hard case, small packet of tissues, plastic case for a couple extra face masks, and a travel pack of Purell hand sanitizer wipes.
Thanks in advance for any information you all can share with me!

Did you contact your SA about it? I’d start there and see what options you have. If the imperfection bothers you now, imagine how you would feel in the long run?

You’re going to need to go with the large size (previously called the “small” and now the $4300 one) to fit a large hard sunglasses case.

I used to own a vintage lady Dior in lambskin in a light color and its corners and edges did not wear well. The coco handle comes mostly in caviar leather which is lot tougher.

I think the coco handle is slightly harder to get in and out of since it has a full size flap. But it’s not a deal breaker for me. You can always stick your phone half way in the back pocket if you’re feeling lazy.

If it really bothered you, you should definitely exchange it. I would bother me!

I have the small (now called medium), and it will be a very tight fit for your items. The flap is not my issue. For me, the issue is the divided sections which you end up with two little sections. I find the middle zippered section almost worthless except to hold small items. If you have a huge eyeglass case, it may be a challenge to push it in because the bag design is a trapezoid, so the top opening is narrower than the bottom and the top opening is not that flexible due to the stitched center compartment. I would definitely purchase a bag that offers a refund. To me, I think you’ll be on the edge of usability. As FYI, I had this big Prada eyeglass case, and it was super hard to stuff in and get it back out. I switched to a soft nylon pouch and it worked fine but I had to adjust.

One other item is the handle. The drop is very short, and the handle is a bit stiff. I hand carry mine so it’s not an issue. However, the few times I’ve had to stick it through my arm, it was not really comfy as the handles are round and stiff, not flat.

I love the CH and have been using them a lot now (I have a black and a green). I thought this would be another bag I could collect, but no. My big deal breaker is the divided sections which make the bag a bit not usable for me as I cannot carry a small water bottle as it takes up the entire depth of the bag after I push it in. So, another adjustment to use this bag, and only recently I realized I’m sacrificing too much for this bag. I recently just decided no more CCHs for me unless it comes in a jumbo size that is wider (not more height or length).

I carry... mini o-case, lambskin classic card holder, small hand sanitizer, pack of tissue, eyeglasses, a few masks, two lipsticks. I put my phone in the outer pocket.

Hope that helps. Good luck!
