Thanks for your replies, ladies. You are right that I wasn't in their system before (I made one purchase online in FOS but I assume that is a different system). Anyways, quite irked this happened to me. Perhaps different outlets have different return policies. I learned my lesson -- don't go shopping when you have a headache and can't think clearly. Thanks again.
Thanks Happibug. I feel better knowing I am not the only one that this happened to. Just have to think more carefully about my purchases to avoid this in the future.I hope your headache is better! If it helps, I think I've had to show my license every time I've returned at the Outlet. I live in Texas, maybe that's just their policy down here.
Hi! I returned something at the outlet recently with a receipt within the 30 day period. My first return EVER. I actually bought something else more expensive and had to pay the difference. They asked for my drivers license which they proceeded to input it. Is this normal? I suppose they want to keep track of people who return stuff all the time. I hate giving out my personal info but I went ahead and did it. I mean I never have to show my license when I returm something with receipt at Target, Macy's, etc. Guess I am still bugged about it. Thanks.
Oh wow! That would be a little scary. What freaks me out is having the drugstore swipe my DL to buy OTC cold medicine!!!

It's the law in California for anything with a decongestant similar to Sudafed. There is a limit to how much you can purchase in a month, so the driver's license is so they can keep track. It can be used to make meth. Is it not the same in other states?Oh wow! That would be a little scary.

Thanks for posting! I just checked my Camo Taxi Tote, and there are white spots on two corners! I really like this bag, but this is unacceptable.I purchased the Camo Taxi Tote right after Thanksgiving. I have only carried the bag a couple times and all four corners have rubbed off to white! What would you ladies do? I'm contemplating just trying to return it for a credit. I don't want to get another bag and the same thing happen! FYI: I am very careful with my bags, they're like my babies. lol. I've never had this happen before.
What?? That's crazy! Sudafed?? I guess I am behind the times. I haven't taken a decongestant in forever, but Sudafed was a pretty mild OTC drug. It's the law in California for anything with a decongestant similar to Sudafed. With the old return policy, one of my farther away outlets used to be so great about returning bags; it was never a big deal, but for some reason, they aren't adhering to the old policy where if it was bought before September, you have until the 15th or 18th of January to take it back. Meanwhile, another outlet that is closer to me (still a pain to get to with traffic) acts like you are committing a crime when you return anything- it's really off putting to the point where I don't know if it's even worth it. If I have anything else to return before the deadline, I may take it to a FP store. I'm just burned out with how Coach handles returns - like it's the end of the world. I need to shop at department stores from now on and look at selling on ebay as another option. When I took back a bag that wasn't even a year old, they were awful about inspecting the bag when clearly it was new and in mint condition. I started to worry that by multiple SA's and Managers each putting their fingers all over the inside of it, and pulling out the lining the would create a stain or grease spot! At one point, I was sorry I even made the trip!I hope your headache is better! If it helps, I think I've had to show my license every time I've returned at the Outlet. It certainly isn't in Maine. I was told by Mainahs when I moved here 5 years ago that pictures on licenses were a recent addition because they weren't necessary. At this point, you do have to sign a spread sheet page in a book, but no license swiping.
