Yes, it was purchased in July or August.

Then you should have until January. The outlets near me haven't had much of anything for FP deletes lately...right now mostly regular sized Phoebes. Makes me a bit mad...they were initially sold for $398, then they raised the price to $428. Now that they are at the outlets the MSRP is $475!

I was going to return a bag to the outlet this weekend that was new with a tag, but the tag fell off the bag; the plastic thing that holds the tag is still around the handle, but the white tag must have ripped and fell somewhere. I can't seem to find it. I have the receipt and wonder will the outlet still take it back?

I recently returned a FOS order. I did not have the white tag (it came without one) but had the white plastic thing still on the handle. As long as it was not used and you have the receipt, you should be ok.

Yeah, it has that whitish grey plastic thing around the handle and I've got the receipt. Thanks for the feedback. I didn't get around to returning it this weekend but intend to take it back next week.

Lat week I returned shoes I bought at FP in April to my local outlet. The SA checked with a manager but they took them back without a problem.

let's say I have a FP bag, new, with tags and its receipt from January 2010
Can I still return any time, as the receipt states?
Or do I have until Jan 2015 because the policy changed and the receipt states the policy may change?

Good question. . . I am curious about this too.

The manager at my outlet said all items on receipts with the old policy have to be returned by January. I believe him because he always seems very well informed and truly loves his job. I don't believe half of what a lot of the SAs say at my other outlet because they always seem miserable and that it is too difficult to answer simple questions.

I've run into that in the FP stores; maybe some of them are really unhappy in their jobs so they take it out on the customers. I knew a manager like that; she always seemed really unhappy and once, she looked like she had been crying. I remember once before that, I wanted to see a new bag that they had in back stock, but they refused to sell it because it wasn't on the floor set yet. I then learned from another manager at a different store that that was illegal and that they should absolutely promote sales if they have the bag in stock whether it is on display or not.
