I have a bag I bought from an outlet at the end of June I'm thinking of returning because I've never had the urge to carry it like I thought I would. I called my closest outlet just to double check that I could still return it and she said no. I thought we had until the end of this year to return purchases that were made before the new 60 day rule?

As long as the back of your receipt does not have the new policy then you should be able to return.

my older receipts say that the policy can change at any time.

Now I'm worried. I have several things I want to return but I was hoping to wait until there was something I wanted from the outlet.

I ask manager when I stopped by to see what the new policy was and she is the one that told me as long as back of receipt did not have new policy they could do the return. She said it would be hard to enforce new policy when back of your receipt has something different. I also ask her if she had heard January was the cut off for the older policy she said no but ppl had been calling and asking. So who knows since we all get diff answers everytime we ask.

I was told at my outlet it's until January for "old" purchases, 60 days for items with the new policy. That seems to be what others on this board are reporting.

I agree with the full policy as many have explained here...
I had something to return and after I'd read about the new policy here, I decided to call some stores to get a consensus. It seems they may have been told to only state the new 60 day portion of the policy, which is all I was told about initially.

However, when I explained that I'd heard purchases made prior to the change date still fell under the old policy until Dec-Jan, they confirmed that was correct. Now, one SA I spoke to was adamant that the policy was 60 days & that she'd refused some peoples recent returns that were made prior to the change date. But she was kind enough to place me on hold to check with her manager & came back to tell me that I'd taught her something, because the policy was as I'd stated.

So if you encounter someone who doesn't agree/know about purchases made prior to the change date, they might not be fully informed so ask them to check with their manager. You might also encounter someone who doesn't want to oblige the old policy portion, but just press the issue because they're wrong.
 
Great..... so it seems it will be a bit of a headache to make my return. I called another outlet that is over an hour away vs 10 min away and they said I absolutely can return it. They are always so much nicer there and get better deletes but of course it has to be far away. I guess I can use what they said as leverage at my closer outlet.

Now that you've called and had the 'full return policy' confirmed, definitely visit your closer outlet to do your return.
You shouldn't have to travel further due to their inconsistency.

I feel sorry for those people who didn't get to return because the SA didn't know the policy.
 
If the purchase was made before 9/18/14, you have until January 2015 to make the return. If you purchased after that date, you have 60 days.
I just returned from one of my outlets 20 min ago. The SA who processed my return said that the new policy is 60 days going forward, so basically, anything I bought before January of 2015 still falls within this new policy!

I haven't been on this thread in awhile so this is the first I have heard of this. Maybe I should call one of my other outlets to confirm this? I only have 2 others. . .I'm really surprised I can't return anything I bought before September because all of a sudden the return policy switched.

If purchased before Sept 2014 you have until Jan 2015.
New warranty is one year

Thanks for clarifying; I just called my outlet and the manager said it doesn't matter when we purchase it, that we still have to abide by the new policy. Evidently, they must not know about these other conditions. I'll try calling another one to see.
