Ladies, I'm so upset as I type this. Before the other bag that I posted above, I purchased another bag from the same seller. It's a British Tan Willis, or as it was described in her listing. However, I wore the bag out today and discovered that it was in fact a mahogany brown that had been dyed tan. I wouldn't have minded that it was dyed had it been done properly and if the bag hadn't cost so much money!! But an entire section in the back pocket came off and there are spots around the bag that are fading in color now too! I don't know what to do. Since I already accepted the order (it was in great condition until I used it), I can't return it. Should I try dying it myself, or remove the dye so that the bag is at least one color and not a weird mix of two?

I am so sorry, that's terrible! I would also try to get a refund via PayPal or your credit card. This bag is not what was described.

The reveal!! Ok, I worked on this rehab for days. Along with a black Station Bag. So, I am not sure if this is my first or second rehab. :p

Thank you all for the assistance and guidance through the process. I got this bag on eBay for $6.00 plus shipping. I didn't get the stain off the back, and there is a small ink stain on the bottom back as well. It is near the piping and doesn't show, so I don't care. The top of the flap was badly stained, and that came out pretty well.

I am VERY pleased with the results!

Beautiful job! Congratulations on such a lovely bag :-)

What a shame! It sounds like this seller is hiding important information about the bags she's selling, and Poshmark is enabling her deception.

If you paid with a credit card or PayPal, you might try to get a refund that way.

If that's not an option, I can't advise you about redyeing or removing the dye. I've never done it, and it seems like a messy process with uncertain outcome. Maybe others here with more experience can advise.

So sorry this happened to you!

Thanks for the advice on getting a potential refund. Catbird9. I'll try calling my credit card company to see if there's anything that they can do. I read online that in some instances, they will allow for a chargeback. Fingers crossed that it might be an option.

I've reported the user on Poshmark--I hope this will prevent other people from having to experience the same thing.

Hi Pros!
I need your advice. I purchased a Legacy Slim Tote (10650) from ebay about 1.5 months ago. It looked like it was in ok shape and was an amazing price for that bag. The interior is pristine. The seller said the leather was "distressed" and when I received it, I understood what she meant. It was dry dry dry and pancaked, like it had been stored flat in a desert. There is some small cracking in the leather. When I went back to look at the pictures in the ad, I realized I had been too impulsive because there were the cracks, clearly visible. Anyway, after I got done being mad at myself, I dunked it and conditioned twice with Leather CPR to no avail. Thinking this is over my head, I was going to relist it at a significantly lower price but then I had a fight with eBay because they removed it for being inauthentic (it's authentic - authenticated here). So now I decided to try again.

In the meantime, I have learned it is vachetta (ok what is wrong with me? Way too impulsive here! Should have done my research.) and so maybe I shouldn't have dunked it. It has a really dark patina (I mistook it for whiskey leather) and actually looks quite nice. It's just crispy. Have I ruined it (more) by dunking it? I have leather cpr and blackrocks, and I ordered some obenauf's oil. I've done some searches for dry vachetta, but most of the results are for mildly dry, not parched like this poor thing.

Is there anything else to try?

Thanks so much!!

And just so it's not all ask ask ask, here is a recent Goodwill find while I was traveling. It's not Coach, but this little leather crossbody caught my eye and I got it for $6.99. It's in pretty good structural shape so I gave it a bath and Leather CPR and it looks so much better! Then I saw that it's a pretty pricey brand! It's a Ghurka Scout.

I bought this wristlet with a pop up pouch at the outlet. I'm concerned that if I carry it with the pouch in the outside pocket, it will slip out. If anyone has suggestions on how to keep it in the outside pocket (glue maybe), please let me know. Thanks! (I have no idea why my picture came out sideways. :confused1:)

What about using a small, lightweight Velcro Command strip in the very bottom of the pocket? It would be easily removed, but probably enough to hold it into place.

I have the newer pop up messenger with the button tab that holds it in its place but I still don't keep my pouch in there. I put it inside and I put my phone in the outer pocket instead. I know I'm no help in solving your problem. But I wanted to show the tab so maybe you can use a decorative money clip to keep it from falling out? No glue needed. 1499288286216.jpeg

I can't clearly see the hardware on the pouch or the wristlet, but is there a way to tie a cord from the hardware on the pouch to the hardware on the wristlet, sort of like a leash?

Here's a better picture. Thanks for suggestion, but I think it might swing out too much, if I have it dangling from my wrist. (posted a better picture below).

Thank you for the picture. I'll think about this idea, too.
