Ugh Kate...I've been looking for a local Willis for years with no love. Every one kerps finding them locally. I should just pull the trigger on ebay and get it over with. Can you believe I've never owned one? I have a murphy. Does that count? Your looks good!
Here's one but it is missing its strap. Oddly I have this same one also missing the strap and I got one of those Kirkland Willis copies from Goodwill recently mentioned in this thread for a few bucks and took the strap off it. It does the job.

The reveal!! Ok, I worked on this rehab for days. Along with a black Station Bag. So, I am not sure if this is my first or second rehab. :p

Thank you all for the assistance and guidance through the process. I got this bag on eBay for $6.00 plus shipping. I didn't get the stain off the back, and there is a small ink stain on the bottom back as well. It is near the piping and doesn't show, so I don't care. The top of the flap was badly stained, and that came out pretty well.

I am VERY pleased with the results!

What an improvement, congratulations! Did you use Blackrock leather conditioner, sometimes that helps the spots to blend in a bit. And Obenauf's tends to darken the leather a bit and that can also help to camouflage spots.

I love light-colored bags but they are challenging to rehab - nice job!

I did use Blackrock. More than one coat. I am not too concerned about the stain as it will be against the body when in use. I am really pleased with it. I did hope it would come out, but with no clue what I am doing...I call it a win!

Can't take too much credit here. Bag was in great shape. Gave it the standard dunk, condition and buff. If this is BT, I may have just found a new drug.
I though the scarf complemented the style and color nicely.
Now, if I can stop grabbing it by the top, instead of the straps.....
Very nice! The scarf looks great with it. I know what you mean about BT!

If it were me, I would dunk it. I don't think the leather will peel. Wait until you have your conditioner. Lexol is ok, but if it's pretty dry you might need something more like Leather CPR.

Thanks so much for the advice, rkiz! Sorry for the late reply--I was unexpectedly out of town for an emergency. I soaked the bag this morning and it's already looking and feeling better. Leather is still kinda damaged on those two spots I mentioned, but the rest of the bag is now softer to the touch!

Ladies, I'm so upset as I type this. Before the other bag that I posted above, I purchased another bag from the same seller. It's a British Tan Willis, or as it was described in her listing. However, I wore the bag out today and discovered that it was in fact a mahogany brown that had been dyed tan. I wouldn't have minded that it was dyed had it been done properly and if the bag hadn't cost so much money!! But an entire section in the back pocket came off and there are spots around the bag that are fading in color now too! I don't know what to do. Since I already accepted the order (it was in great condition until I used it), I can't return it. Should I try dying it myself, or remove the dye so that the bag is at least one color and not a weird mix of two?

What a shame! It sounds like this seller is hiding important information about the bags she's selling, and Poshmark is enabling her deception.

If you paid with a credit card or PayPal, you might try to get a refund that way.

If that's not an option, I can't advise you about redyeing or removing the dye. I've never done it, and it seems like a messy process with uncertain outcome. Maybe others here with more experience can advise.

So sorry this happened to you!
