Hey there!

I just found the Margo Carryall F34607 in (I believe) Saddle color. I found it at a thrift store, and they clearly missed the Coach markings, as it was listed at $4.99! Otherwise, this would have been in their locked case lol. :) It is like new, except for the indentations below. They are on the front of the purse, near the bottom edge. It is crossgrain leather. Is there any way to remove these dents?

Thanks so much! And this is my first time posting pics, fingers crossed lol.

What a great buy on a beautiful bag!
For the indentations, I would try heating gently with a blow dryer and pressing with fingertips. They probably won't completely disappear, but they might be minimized.

Don't cha love it when some one is asleep at the switch doing the pricing? lol I picked up a little black change purse in basically unused condition recently at a Goodwill for $3. The sales girl was giving it a look over and saw the little Coach logo and says, "Oh look, a Coach!" And I was all, "Yeah, let me pay for it and get out of here before someone here decides to change that!"

Hi rehabbers, I just purchased a Courier pouch from here:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/509150960/vintage-coach-bag-coach-courier-bag-70s
I requested a couple of extra photos from the buckles (I got a photo from one of the buckles, it looks all right) and the strap, which looks distressed and shows some crackles. I bought the bag anyway and I hope that I can fix the strap just by bathing it and conditioning it? What is you more experienced people's opinion concerning those cracks/crackles? Here is the photo of the strap from the seller:

Congratulations on your purchase of a hard-to-find classic!

I have rehabbed two Courier Pouches. I think you'll be able to significantly improve the look of those strap edges with several rounds of conditioning after the bath. The piping leather is thinner, so it shows wear and aging sooner. Just keep hitting it with conditioner and letting it soak in overnight.

Enjoy "bonding" with your new bag!

Thank you Catbird!!! It's really comforting knowing that experts also think I can improve the condition of the strap with spa treatments:tup:

I'm so glad you got this! I saw it and thought it was so pretty and reasonably priced, too. Interested to see what color it ends up being after you work on it. Congrats!

Thank you Catbird! I did try this, but I did not see much of a difference, if at all. However, I was concerned with damaging the leather so I did not heat it too much. Will certainly try again!

Thank you Ravvie!! Courier has been on my watch list for quite a while... Those that were in reasonable shape were way too expensive for me and those that I can afford needed quite a lot mending which I don't have experience of and don't really like to do... Just couple of days ago I requested extra photos from another Etsy seller for one of his Courier and he hasn't got back to me yet, which is probably my luck, because his is in worse shape as far as i can see and is almost $40 more expensive...

I always try (well, TRY) to buy only bags that I know I'm going to use, because in this side of the Pond and this corner of the world there is really no resale marker for vintage Coach. We don't have a Coach shop in the country, and I don't even know where is the nearest Coach shop, Germany maybe? Though someone sells imported modern Coach bag in "local ebay", I just like the vintage buttery soft quality leather more than giant metal decorations!!

I have a question and I am not sure where to post it. I found a lg NYC duffle sac on Etsy about a week ago. Hyacinth authenticated it for me. I asked questions of the seller and felt uneasy because this was her only item for sale. She was responsive and answered every question. I asked (via Etsy) if there were any rips, tears, or odors and she responded no just pure leather. The bag came today and although I am thrilled with the nice thick leather, for me there are two issues. One, when I readjusted the buckle on the strap I discovered that one of the rivets is broken, and two, it looks as if the bottom has been re sewn so the piping is a little uneven.
Any advice on what I should do? I am most upset about the pulled out/broken rivet.
TIA
Update on this duffle bag. I sent the bag back to the seller via Priority Mail and tracking the next morning. I had to contact her to see if she received it. She received it and told me she did not have funds in her account for the refund. She is no longer responding to messages. I filed a case with Etsy yesterday. She has not responded. I am not happy about this at all.

I'd like to find one in British tan or red too. The large duffle sac is too big for me, but this one looks like it might be a better fit.
I would like to find a d
Thank you! I love it! It wasn't NWT. If it were, I would probably be afraid to carry it. But it is in fantastic condition. No stains at all. I got it on ebay 2 years ago.
That was a lucky find!

I cannot believe how expensive the change purses are on eBay! I bought a dinky bag a few years ago on eBay. When it arrived it had a matching coin purse inside which was not mentioned in the listing. Nice bonus!

Hi rehabbers,

I could really use some help with this!

My ebay court bag arrived yesterday, and to say I am disappointed would be an understatement. Not only is the strap a replacement, but the whole bag is PAINTED in something that does not wipe or wash off. It sort of scrapes off in some places with effort, and the threads are coated too. I contacted the seller for a refund, and she says that the bag was shipped out in the same condition it was listed in. Has anyone had success returning a bag like this? Am I stuck with it? Any help at all would be appreciated.
