Lined bags don't always have to be dunked. I avoid dunking on newer bags as they don't respond as well. For this bag, you can pull the lining out and give it a thorough cleaning. You can use alcohol or acetone on the stains. You can use dishwashing liquid and water to wash it, just rinse well, and try to keep the leather from getting soaked. then squeeze it dry and keep it pulled out until it is mostly dry. The leather can then be conditioned. I love Leather Honey on this kind of leather but if it isn't faded, you can follow your normal conditioning routine.
Quick question about the Legacy shoulder #10326, how do I get the shape back? When looking at pictures on the world wide web, some of them appear block shaped. ( hope that makes sense) It looks as if it was stored with other bags on top of it. Flat as a pancake.

Whateve, are you saying that the leather honey is better for fading leather, or ??

Yes, it should be fatter. You could stuff it with warm towels, or stuff it and leave it in a steamy bathroom, giving the steam a chance to work.

I love it for faded leather usually. It works wonders on 2006 Legacy and 2007 Bleecker leather. There have been times when I used it on classic leather and I ended up with a blotchy look, which either required redunking or a lot of time to even out. So I don't use it unless I need dramatic results.

You guys are no help whatsoever! :pout: I ended up driving back to the thrift store to rescue this sad set, LOL! I think I need a sponsor.....

Chain Link Kristen satchel with matching wristlet What the #$%%@ did the former owner do to this thing? I Have to wash my hands every time I touch it! Ewwwwwww!

Beccabaglacy, I would have done the same thing! You'll be happy SOMEDAY that you bought that poor bag. I agree. I have seen expensive bags that look like kids were playing in the mud with it. Boy kids at that, ha ha!

Lol!! When I see purses like this, I visualize the poor bag being tied to the back of a car with a rope and dragged along...:D

I would have never thought about steam! Thanks!

Wow, when I see something that messed up, I always wonder which stain was the one that made the owner think "maybe I shouldn't carry this anymore?" It is so far beyond what I would carry in public that I can't understand how it could get that way, unless the owner gave it to her kids to play with after it got a little dirty.

That's one I'd be putting in the washer!

Hi ladies!

A few quick questions.

The city bag I'm working on for my mom is almost done. I left the Blackrock's to absorb for about a day and am currently buffing with a soft cloth. It's pretty tacky, unlike the previous bag I applied it to. It's leaving a little fuzzy residue from the cloth on the sticky areas that only disappear after I buff a little harder and longer, but some not at all. Is this normal? Also, when I buffed with the soft cloth on the last one, there was little or no color transfer, but on this city bag there is (relatively) a lot. Have I done something wrong?

The other bag I'm working on is this scary looking Willis. It looked awful before, and while the black blotches disappeared after dunking, it has some discoloration issues. Any recommendations what I should do?

Thank you!
