Today we were out and I noticed that my loganberry duffle had a scratch on the front. I tried rubbing it with my finger but it didn't go away. I fully intended to put Blackrocks on it when I got home, but by then the mark had disappeared!

I have to say, "it's all your fault"! After I read this on the weekend, I called my Outlet on Sunday and asked them to put the Red Duffle on hold for me. One of my favorite SAs was working so I asked her to put the "best" one aside. I went back and got it today while it was still 50% & 20% off. I ordered Blackrock last night :smile1: Honestly, I had one of the SAs try the bag on for me and at a foot away, you can't see any of the scratches. I needed the time to think about it and your expertise helped...thank you (for enabling)! :D

Aw, that's wonderful! Congratulations!

I finished this navy blue NYC big tote on the weekend. Sorry, can't remember style name or number. When I got this I discovered it had been painted all over to cover a red ink stain on the inside of one of the slip pockets that had bled through to the outside. I contacted the seller who apologised profusely and refunded my money, not the shipping, but at least I didn't have to return it . Here it is before.

And after. Acetone, bath, Leather Therapy, Obenauf's and Black Rock. I was able to remove quite a lot if the ink. My new work bag. It's big 16" x 12". I think it cost me $30.

Hello all,
I'm hoping someone here can help with this. This large beauty was my first "grown-up" purchase a few months into my first "grown-up" job so it's essentially my first Coach love. She's the XL Ergo Hobo in whiskey vachetta. It's darkened beautifully over the years, but about a year ago I noticed some dark spots have developed on it. I've been told vachetta shouldn't be cleaned or conditioned so I don't really know how or if it's even possible to fix the blemishes. She's also got a big water stain near the bottom. If she weren't vachetta I would have just tried dunking her and seeing if that did anything, but my spidey sense told me it's best to check with the experts here first. Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

Those spots look like they could be mold. You can dunk vachetta, but it will darken and be darker at the edges. I've successfully cleaned vachetta using vinegar and a magic eraser. Vinegar should kill mold, if there is any. Cadillac conditioner is recommended for vachetta.

Perfect, I've got vinegar and Cadillac both on hand. Thanks a bunch whateve!

A few more questions: did you spray the vinegar on and then scrub with the magic eraser? Do you dilute the vinegar at all or just use it straight? Does the vinegar make the spotting disappear or at least get lighter? And finally, when dunking, should I use soap/detergent the same way I do when I dunk the glove-tanned leathers, or do you suggest just clean warm water?

Hello Everyone

I've got myself in a rehabbing pickle, I hope someone can help.

I bought a 1996 Sonoma 4907 in Maize. It looked OK when I got it, had a few very light marks & a slight hint of dirt, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a bath. Ah, if only I could hit the redo button at this point.

I had just started swishing it in a bath with ivory snow, when new light grayish-blue marks started appearing everywhere. I freaked out, took it out of the bath, rinsed well, blotted and let it dry for a day.

The marks were still there, many more than before the bath! I tried treating it with Leather therapy & then Blackrock, but no improvement. It looks dirty now, and also has a light bluish gray cast. The leather does look worn in some spots.

It's hard to see in the attached pictures but maybe they will help.

This is my second rehab.
I can't decide what to do next - would appreciate any ideas!

Thank you!!

I wonder if that is dye from the lining.

I think I used white vinegar straight. I put it in a little bowl, then dipped the magic eraser in it. It lightened up most spots. For dunking, I used the same soap and warm water I use for other bags.
