Glad it helped!Thank you so much -- Black Rock arrived. It really did even out the color and mostly obliterated the white spot on the bottom. I will try to post an "after" photo but don't see a spot for that here!! Grateful in Beantown, M
It isn't cluttering up the forum with a post for just one photo! We love to have photos posted here, especially befores and afters!Added an after Black Rock bottom photo to blog above so as not to clutter forum with a post just for one photo .thanks again
Some bags are made with different leather that isn't as floppy. I think the duffle sac is supposed to be floppy, but not the Court bag. That is part of the reason that the leather is doubled in parts of the Court bag. I don't know anyway to make the leather stiffer but you could use a purse insert to help it keep its shape. I've made cardboard bases for some of my bags. Joodlz has made some frames out of plastic, I think, to help a bag hold its shape. This may be a dumb question but I searched and couldn't find a clear answer on past threads. Some vintage bags are so broken in and soft that they are floppy, others are more rigid and hold a shape better. In the case of both a bucket bag/duffle and also a Court bag, I think it would be nice for the bag to hold its shape a bit better without slouching/flopping flat. Besides perhaps washing and reshaping is there anyway to make leather a bit, stiffer?
Thanks!! M
