You could try applying some alcohol with a Q tip. That might remove the dye.Hello, I am new to this site, first time posting in this thread although I have been reading, and wow! you ladies know your stuff and your advice is so detailed and helpful. I thought my first post would be about my first "real" almost vintage bag called a Penelope Satchel (I just found out the name), but I think that once I get the cleaning and conditioner supplies I can try to improve it, just following your advice to others it's not that bad after all.
So now here I am because I think I messed up one of my favorite bags, it's not vintage but I hope you still can give me suggestions. It's a nylon bag, the Poppy Ski Bunny in black and white, I had it for sometime and have cleaned spots with just a bit of soap and water, but after wearing a black suede jacket and noticing some overall darkening of the white areas, I decided to put it in the wash machine with cold water and a mild detergent, when it came out most of the white was much better, but there is now one spot under one of the straps rings that looks like it "bled" from inside, also the trim of the pockets looks like "see through black". Goodness I don't know how to explain it, but I have two pictures to show you. I went over with the soap and water, but it didn't work.
Any advice on how to clean those areas will be very much appreciated!!!

If that doesn't work you could use bleach. I have done this on white nylon on a Michael Kors bag with success, also applied with a Q tip.
Rinse afterwards.
