Cute bag! I would use a protector like Obenauf's or Blackrocks after at least one more round of conditioner. I had the same problem with my first rehab. I just conditioned it (didn't bathe it) and it looked pretty worn after the first couple times taking it out. I went back and did all the proper steps (dunk, condition, Blackrocks) and it looked even better :)

It looks much better! What kind of conditioner are you using? For very thirsty bags, you have to use different conditioners. I like Leather Honey and mink oil for super dry bags. I like to finish my bags with Blackrocks. It makes a dramatic difference.

Thanks--it does look better! I have Blackrocks to use after I am finished, but not sure if I need to start over and soak longer, or just keep conditioning. I am using this conditioner by Leather Therapy, but ordered Apple today. Maybe I should try Honey.

Thank you for your help!

I don't think it need resoaking. As long as it is absorbing conditioner and it has been reshaped properly, I think you just need to keep applying conditioner. Make sure you leave enough time between applications for it to absorb. The fine scratches will look a lot better once you use Blackrocks.

Apple won't help. It is more formulated for new bags that don't need a lot of moisture. A lot of people like Leather Therapy. I got a sample that did nothing for me. I've gotten great results with Leather Honey but every time I ordered from Amazon, it leaked in the box. Someone said you should order it directly from the company that makes it. I paint it on with a foam brush, then just leave it overnight. In the morning, I buff off whatever hasn't absorbed. I did have an instance once where it streaked the bag and I had to rewash it. I don't know why.

Obenauf's really softens dry leather. I use it after two or three applications of Leather Therapy. Massage it in and leave it for two days then buff with a micro fibre cloth then finish with Black Rock.

That is weird. Warts maybe? LOL! Maybe try Obenauf's. It might soften them.

Well, those warts were stubborn. I smoothed them out with a stiffer buffing tool on my dremel. Still some there, but much better. Obenauf's helped blend in the color on the leather. I knew it might change the finish of the leather in that area but that shouldn't be too hard to fix.
I plan on using some acrylic glaze to put the low lustre shine back on after the O's has a chance to dry. After pics when I'm done. Thanks for your help.

Must have been a lumpy cow!

I know how you feel. I decided to start dunking all my bags just to finally get some done. I had a pile of 10 or so and it was still growing so I WAS almost done dunking until I found 2 more tonight. I'm super excited about them--the red dinky I found yesterday and a saddle bag they either put out today or I missed yesterday. I need to start going thrifting on non-sale days at my favorite thrift store more often! It was so much easier to spot bags without so many people in the way.
