Hello,

I have a small black leather Soho shoulder bag that is missing its strap. I misplaced it. Does anyone know of a collector that sells Coach parts? The model number is 9247 and it was made in 2005. Thank you.
I mean this seriously, have you looked under furniture where you store your bags or do your refurbishing? When I moved a sofa I found turnlock hardware that had been MIA for a few years. I looked everywhere for it!
I would often polish brass or buff bags while sitting on the sofa and work on my coffee table. I was just happy I didn’t vacuum it up.

I feel like I'm "hogging" the rehab thread. Please, someone else share some pictures and rehab stories! x o
You got such great rehab mojo!!! I am annoyed that I am tired after work and working on my bags seems to come last. Unfortunately looking at listings takes minimal energy. I have bags that just need a spa day. Hoping that tide will change this fall! I would encourage you to keep posting to create a record of your work. I like to search for what did or didn’t do for bags. And as someone who has had a tough year and can’t participate as much for now, I appreciate the posting!!!
I have been doing jigsaw puzzles over the summer on my coffee table. They are a great mental palate cleanser for me. Maybe I will take a break from puzzles after Labor Day . I could easily make it a little leather day spa area  a give a few bags some love.

I love your rehabs! Don't ever stop, and don't stop sharing them!

I could definitely share more. I'm still rehabbing, I just don't have time to post my finds much. I have also bought many things at the Goodwill Outlet and I really quite love that place... I have banned myself from it for a month after an upsetting incident I will now share that still disturbs me and I know though it has nothing to do with rehabbing you guys will understand..

About a month ago I found the Coach Koi Fish Charm from maybe 10 plus years ago there. So it would've cost about 50 cents, maybe less. I have always wanted it. I put it in my bag and it fell to the bottom of it. At some point I decided I needed a bigger cloth bag and I moved my stuff into another one I found there.. and the Koi fish was left behind in the bottom of the bag I had thrown back into the bins (cloth shopping bags are great to find there. I always grab one to put my stuff in instead of a cart and it can go in the wash when I get home. Often enough they are totally new and I use them all the time for my groceries). Anyway, I realised and rushed back to the bag and saved the Koi before anyone else grabbed it. I put it into the deep deep tight pocket of my Athleta leggings where I had my phone, card and keys because I was so horrified I had almost lost it. This is a very tight deep pocket, I have run, hiked and worked out with many things and they've never fallen out or even shifted. Somehow after I went through the checkout, was walking to my car and the keychain wasn't in my pocket anymore! So annoyed, I went back to the store and it drove me crazy to look for it everywhere but I didn't find it. I must have knocked it out of my pocket when pulling out my car keys or wallet or phone at some stage. Anyway I was so angry at myself.. but maybe it was karma because basically I was stealing it LOL. I had to talk myself out of tears on the way home.

I am really feeling like I'm over it and ready to go back there. I often find Coach bags in horrible condition there, mostly modern ones, not vintage leather very often unfortunately. If they are signature jacquard they are total garbage when worn out so I strip them of any straps or hangtags (without buying the bag, which is a nice thing about the outlet that it's okay to do that) so I have a great stash of spare straps etc. that often come in handy. Occasionally there is a successful vintage Coach rehab for me there but not often. I collect random vintage crap that is so bizarre Goodwill didn't know how to sell it. I love buying old music books and I found a few violin books that belonged to a well known maestro in the Portland area that had his name, stamp, notes etc. in it from 1941 that had been donated from a University library that closed here and that just about blew my mind. Now that's really off topic from Coach rehab. Better end essay.

Your post made me chuckle. I am an older woman and I have been trying to clean out my house of 30+ years. I am a purse re-hab/collector addict. I am looking for several items including that darn strap and a fairly large gem that fell out of my tennis bracelet decades ago. Truly a first-world problem.

Does anyone else watch the Coach rehabs on Tik Tok? They area full of good ideas. There is a fellow who is terrific, and yesterday I watched a tour of the Coach archives, it was wonderful and I saw many bags I did not know even existed. The girl who went on the tour was brought a double kiss lock purse. The leather on the metal frame of the kiss lock was shot. They showed them shopping for a suitable match, then shaping and replacing the leather frame. It was awesome. Check out Coachjunkie.

I know my daughter shops and sells on Depop mostly for cheapo fashion clothes.

After writing my post above about the Goodwill Outlet I just couldn't resist going there this morning as I have been wanting to for a few days. I did find a little Coach pouchy thing to rehab. I wasn't sure it was Coach but then I realised the pattern on it was actually "C"s LOL. It's in really clean condition but I'll probably hand wash it anyway just bc Goodwill Outlet is so dirty... Anyway, an idea of the random crap I collected there: a Samsonite suitcase possibly from the 1930s for storage, another modern suitcase for actual travel ($3 each) a freaking perfect Dyson Roller ball Animal 2 vacuum cleaner for $7! (I bought one years ago for $250ish but it needs a repair I can't be bothered doing), Revere Ware measuring cups, shorts, new tea towels in cute retro prints, a mini tape measure to carry in my purse for thrifiting.. I think that's all for a whopping $21. It is so time consuming going there though, that is the main downfall for me. I skipped my run to do it.

Thrifting is better than exercising

I've only been there a couple times but I found some cool stuff. I found two Coach bags one giant diaper bag C signature fabric type thing that's in really bad shape, and that saddle bag that I already talked about. I've also found other really cool vintage things besides purses, I found a copper trivet that I love from about the 1980s. I found a protect the back sling bag which is in really really good shape leather. I found some other designer names Dooney & Bourke and others. I found the motherlode of 100% silk beautiful ties from Italy and France and designer brands and of course a giant bag of those cost me probably 10 bucks. I really don't know what I'm going to do with them probably sell on eBay.

I found a mini hangtag (off a keychain) in a drawer years after I already sold the keychain.

I can't figure out how I have 3 or 4 pairs of shoes that are missing one shoe.
