Hello, all, and Happy New Year. I have a new bag to rehab that is unlike any rehab I've done before. Not super dramatic, but I have a bag from the Nautical collection from 1990 in white with navy trim and strap. I'm itching to dunk it, but wanted to see how dunking a spectator bag has worked out for others here. I did a search and see many replies saying there was no bleeding between the colors. I'm curious if anyone has had a different experience or any suggestions beyond the typical dunk, shape, condition, buff. Thanks for any inspiration.

I couldn't wait.....no bleeding! More photos as it dries.

Well, I tried everything I could think of and this ink is not budging. I assume coated canvas is probably as hard as patent to remove marks once they’re in there.

And after my cleaning attempts:

What are your thoughts? I sort of wish I’d gone for a bit more color…a more playful palette but this one makes it more of a fall/winter bag maybe?

All done…I think. What say you? I have a few more pieces so I could add to the top? The first punch of the hole for the rivet was kinda gut wrenching but it went fine. A couple of misfires on attaching the rivets but other than that, it went smoothly. I’m surprised at how flat they lay inside. I was worried about items catching on them. What say you?

Hello everyone, today I have an original RFD mailbox bag that needs quite a bit of attention but I am too scared to dunk it because Debi Barros described how some really old NYC Coach bags disintegrated or cracked on her when she soaked them, and this an old, old pre-creed bag with a Coach metal tag. It is one of my special unicorns, which is misshapen and looks thirsty and dry. Any and all advice would be welcome. I have been advised to use mink oil as well as conditioner. Maybe if I condition it enough it would get to the point where it would be safe to dunk.....?

An old post, but OMG, something new to add to my I wish I could find this list!

Well, I do like a challenge! As you can see by my avatar, I like this style 9990 small framed pouch. I got an offer I couldn't refuse..$20 on a bone one. Only it's dirty, dingy, discolored, etc. Structurally, looks great! How to approach cleaning - restoring color on this? Any best product suggestions? :) Thanks!

What are the chances one of you lovely folks has a strap in your box of spare parts that a) would fit this buckle b) matches this leather and c) you’d be willing to sell me?

Sorry, I don't have a strap; would the one at the link below work? This ebay seller seems to have a lot of replacement parts.
