Where do you live??? In the Pacific Northwest, thrift shopping has become quite expensive. It's hard to find bags like this so easily without paying like $50.00 or something. I noticed on the East Coast, thrift stores seem to be much more reasonable.
Same here in San Francisco Bay Area. 3 years ago, you could pick up an occasional Coach bag for $12.95. I thrifted some great bags then, just hanging on the end caps - I got a binocular bag and some others, and even passed on some due to condition (which I REGRET).
Then, SF Goodwill started putting Coach authenticated bags on Shopgoodwill.com and put every other Coach item behind the case. Now Coach bags are $25-$50 and backpacks and brief cases up to $100.
The only way to get a deal here is from a local individual or an estate sale.

Hi there, I'm in bone hell with an NYC Madison that has green undertones and a bone swinger that looks worse than your before pictures. You mentioned you used bone "shoe cream" for these results? Which brand? And did you try what has been suggested here - mix the color with CPR? Like all of us here, I want to retouch the color but I don't want that painted or shoe polish look.
Yours looks natural and great!
In my experience shoe cream doesn't do much for bone bags because it doesn't saturate into the surface. If you do try it, Meltonian or Saphir are the best, imo.

I think the paint idea might work better in the long run. I can't remember who posted this originally (sorry, I hope you see this post and claim it), but I took a screenshot of the idea because her bag turned out so beautifully.

Pretty much all of California is super overpriced. I've stopped looking at Goodwill because everything sort of good will be online (even Fossils!) A few years ago I got some good things in Escondido, Van Nuys and Sacramento. Usually suburbs or small towns are better than cities. I rarely go to thrifts anymore as it is so hard to find anything.

You must have the patience of a saint. I can't with bags like that. Hard no. Lol
I got the bag for $10. It's really for experimenting with my leather repair kit, puff paint, and piping fixes. I'm not going to replace the piping entirely (though it needs it). I have no great expectations of making it beautiful. I just want to play and enhance my skills, and see what I can do!
