I definitely think cracks like that should have been disclosed. Shoe polish, I can see how she may claim SHE didnt apply any shoe polish, like maybe she bought it that way, or she may claim she has no idea how to recognize shoe polish on a bag. I've also had a seller tell me she didn't apply anything to a bag when it obviously obviously had a weird smell and a not normal shine. But she certainly shouldn't lie about it. And the cracks- there's no excuse for not disclosing them in the listing and showing them in pictures.I deleted my post last night but Im very upset this morning with the seller’s response. I received this black Winnie yesterday & it’s completely covered in shoe polish. It feels like hard plastic, there are cracks all over the leather- piping, handle, above the turn lock etc. from the polish drying out the leather. The smell is an extremely strong chemical smell as well. The seller refuses to admit she polished the bag & is claiming the strong smell is just moth balls from storage. I opened a dispute on PayPal & she is still continuing to lie. I asked her before buying if anything was applied to the bag at all, she said no.
She sent me a picture of the conditioners she uses this morning & one of them is a bottle of leather CPR. Are you a member here? If so, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself for doing this to somebody & then lying about it:
