Gorgeous! That will be a very happy friend!OG red Rambler rehab is complete! It was already in great shape but looks even better after a dunk, CPR & Renapur. I also did two horse hair buffing sessions on it. This beauty is going to a good bag friend of mine so I really wanted to make it look as nice as possible(anyone else ever worry their rehabs aren’t good enough?

The only thing I know of getting rid of the mothball smell is to air, air and then air again, and it really needs to be done outsideThis navy and tan Glenwood Sheridan is gorgeous but I must resist because I have too many bags already!
I'm just curious, has anyone ever tried to get the smell of moth balls out of a bag? Will a bath remove that smell or is something else needed?

A dunk with LOADS of vinegar and about a week in fresh air and sunshine. The only thing I know of getting rid of the mothball smell is to air, air and then air again, and it really needs to be done outside, or at least in a very well ventilated room.
Charcoal might work but I haven't had the need to try it.This navy and tan Glenwood Sheridan is gorgeous but I must resist because I have too many bags already!

I just ran across this very old tPF thread that addresses mothballs, smoke, etc.I once used charcoal to remove cigarette smoke smell but I've never had to deal with mothball odor.
Hi All,
need some advice here
i would like to make full use of this pouch and make it as crossbody too.
is it advisable to “poke” hole (circle in red) on the leather and insert D Ring on it?
have anyone have similar adjustments to the bag and any wear and tear from it?
thank you in advance
It's your bag and you can do what you want with it - but that looks like a valuable bag that shouldn't have holes poked into it - at least not in my opinion.
Could you show us more pictures of the bag to help us better understand how you wish to alter it? Maybe we can offer some alternative suggestions.
If you do decide that you want to attach a ring (or rings) it might be best to take it to a shoe repair shop and have it done by a professional.
Hi @katev ,
thanks for your thoughts and yes I did think to visit shoe repair shop as well.
here you go for the clutch picture. This is actually a Kisslock Clutch (#901). Currently have 1 D ring on it for the hangtag and wrist strap. I asked the boutique to customize and add another D ring on the opposite side previously but they can’t.
I think there are some clasps you can attach on the inside and are so slim the kisslock can still close over them. That way there is nothing visible on the exterior and when you aren't using the strap, the clasps fold down inside the bag.Hi All,
