Hit the jackpot of rehab-ables just now at GW for a bargain price. Their usual price person must've been out sick coz these were a bargain. Bottom 2 are Costa Rica made. I'm look forward to see if the corners get some color backing the Companion bag(?) after her dunk. Also the Scooter has a fade line I wonder if I can blend a lot with intense conditioning...View attachment 5372227View attachment 5372230
I'm loving all the great rehab before and after pics I just scrolled through from the last few days!View attachment 5372233
Wow, great score! I think that dunking, conditioning, and black rocks will do a lot to brighten up the bags and make the corners look much better, but a faded line is a bigger challenge.
The process of dunking, conditioning, and black rocks will darken the leather and make the fading less obvious but it probably won't eliminate it. I would just try doing the rehab first and see how it looks when it's done before tryinkg anything else.
Below are links for a Sapphire Casey 9923 (1993) that I rehabbed. It's a gorgeous bag but the front of the bag is definitely a different color than the rest of the bag and it becomes more obvious when you lift up the flap. Rehabbing it definitely improved the appearance and made the color variations a little less noticeable but it's still an issue. I've never done any recoloring to the bag but maybe I should? Please let me know how your "faded-line scooter" turns out.
You really had a great haul at the Goodwill today!
