She's clean, shiny, reshaped and the color is more more consistent and blue than it was when I bought her at the garage sale for $2.50; and she has a new hangtag, too. I can't believe that coach was able to send a saphire hangtag! There isn't much hardware but I also gave it a shine.

It often helps to brush the creed with a light-colored eye shadow to bring out the wording and numbers.

When we lived the country, one rancher told us that he would shoot our dog the next time he found him near his cows. That is when we got our dog fixed. He was a golden retriever - not a threat to cows at all.thank you all! He had such a face! It was obvious he belonged to someone. There are a lot of loose dogs out here, and when I'm out running I'm always torn whether or not to let them follow me. They could be miles from home already or right in front of their house (though from going out almost every day, all these years, I know just about every dog). Since this guy was right in front of my house I let him follow me on my run, hoping I'd run across his owners looking for him. Several times I've had people approach me asking if I'd seen their dog that got out over night.
And he was neutered! You almost never see that out here in the country. Even though he didn't have a collar, I though since he was neutered there was a good chance he was microchipped so if I hadn't found his family Friday night, I would have taken him to get scanned Saturday morning.
It was also gratifying to hear that they had been looking for him, I have found dogs that I didn't think should go back to their owners, including a pitbull with a tow chain bolted around his neck. I have never seen a chain that heavy before, much less bolted around a dogs neck! I ended up taking him to animal humane and trying to express that he should not go back to his owners, if they even bothered to look. He was the sweetest dog too I teased my daughter that we should find a home for our dog and keep him!
But, anyway, not only had they put up signs but when the mother called me she said she'd been out looking for him and was so happy to come home and find him with her husband and girls. Turns out he was also microchipped.
It was very gratifying to reunite him with a family who loved him after all the times I've been able to do nothing to help.
