I am hoping this one is authentic or she's going back to the ebay seller!!

It looks to me to be the Chapin? style 4404?
but here's the particulars: she's about 9"Wx6"Hx3"D
but the creed appears to be pre-style #. that's what concerns me since all others I've found did have style #s. But I remember your guide mentioning they began them in 1993?

Item: Black Janice’s Legacy 9950 (USA, 1996)
Seller: Garage sale $2.50
Dimensions: 8” high (center), 10” high (ends), 8” wide, 4.5” deep

Comments: This looks like pictures of the Janice’s Legacy bag but I’ve never seen one in real life. I thought it would be larger – around the same size as a Patricia’s legacy - but it is closer in size to a Rambler. Please give an opinion about authenticity, thank you!

Item: Small Periwinkle Flap Bag (USA, circa 1989)
Seller: Garage sale $2.50
Dimensions: 7” high, 7.5” wide, 3” deep

Comments: Inside the bag is a bright blue but the outside is more of a slate gray. I hope that it is just dirty and a bit faded because the blue color is gorgeous! Please identify and give an opinion about authenticity, thank you!

Please authenticate this Coach Leatherware bag...
Bought it at Goodwill today for only a few bucks.
Approx. 11.5"w x 8"h x 3.5"d Strap drop 24"
No. 1074-924 - a little hard to read.
Do you know her name, style number and approximate age...I'm clueless on this one!
As always, thanks in advance!

Hi Ladies! Please help me to authenticate these bags. Thank you! :smile1:

1. Item: Court Bag 9870

2. Item: City Bag 9790 (?)
Link: http://vintagelovegirl.blogspot.com/2012/07/city-bag-9790_21.html
Comments: I've never had my hands on one of these - looks just like a City Bag but with tan trim. Same measurements and look of a city Bag.

3. Item: Zippered Clutch 9455
Link: http://vintagelovegirl.blogspot.com/2012/07/zippered-clutch-style-9455.html
Comments: It has the D rings at the sides so from what I learned early on from
Hyacinth is that the bag would be either a Basic Bag or Zippered Clutch. Since its a really old one I'm thinking it's the Zippered Clutch.
Measures 11"length, 7" heighth, 3"width

thank you!

Could be a Chapin. And yes they came out in 1993 so early ones have old-style serial numbers.

I picked up what I thought/think is a Coach purse at a thrift store for $4. Its heavy green leather with Coach tag, zipper pull on the outside rear, creed, etc. however, I haven't seen anything like it...anywhere. So I thought I'd come here :)
Can't post pics from my iPad, but the creed reads like this:
"This is a Coach bag. It was handcrafted in Costa Rica from natural full grain nubuc cowhide that is water resistant and exceptionally durable. Gentle tumbling provides a distinctive texture with natural grain variations." Serial number is No 5AM-4935. It would suck if it was fake, but I'd have bought it anyway because I like the color and the size :)

There are one or two bags in that style that did have fabric linings and were made in the US but I need the serial number form the creed patch to know what style it actually is. Ask her to tell you the line of letters and numbers at the bottom of the leather patch. And even then I still can't say for sure if it's authentic until you can send me photos of the creed.

I swear it's like pullimg teeth with seller. She has confirmed the first 3 of the serial is H1D and I am hoping I can convince her to give me the other half and that its not like giving out a social security number. Lol Is the first part at least a legit series?

Okay H1D-9718 is the serial number

When you can post pictures, please do. Nothing can be authenticated without photos, especially of the creed patch. Please read this forum's rules from post numbers 1 and 118.

Your purchase may be genuine but that's all I can comment on without photos.

All genuine. The second one is called a City Bag Spectator, style 6790, and the third one is from the mid-70s so it probably would have still been called a Zippered Clutch.
