Comments: A new member posted this in the Hall of Shame and then there were comments that said don't report it because it was one of the new line. After it didn't sell, I contacted the seller and he relisted it as a BIN, which I jumped on. Now I am very worried. The creed number really looks like it says 19002, which is a glam.

Oh,no, that is why I did not bid on that! I asked about the serials number and the seller never answered. That is why I think it is a fake and post it in the hall of shame

The seller has uploaded tracking and has gotten back to me with the number, which is C1294-19002. Now that I know the number is wrong, what do I do?

Since you already paid for it there's not much you can do except as I said, file a SNAD claim as soon as you receive the bag. Don't leave Feedback until you get a full refund, and PLEASE leave a strong Negative mentioning the seller's other fake Coach.

If you report it now before you get it I don't know how that will affect your SNAD claim. Ebay may ask for proof that it's fake and you may have to send photos of the creed and of the genuine style 19002 so be sure to save the photos of the Glam from Coach.com showing the style number. I haven't filed a SNAD in a long time so maybe someone with more experience can give better advice.

You might also ask some of the posters at the main Coach forum who have already bought similar Colorblock styles to send you photos of the genuine creed stamp showing that it's supposed to say it's made of leather and not materials and leather. BTW, have you told the seller that it's apparently counterfeit and that you'll be returning it for a full refund as soon as the experts at Ebay and thePurseForum confirm it? Or that you'll ask Ebay to order that the bag be sent to them so it can be examined?

I have sent a message that says "I am very concerned. That is not the correct number for that bag." Should I send another message?

The seller responded "Don't know what to say. I'm not too familiar with the serial #'s. if your concern is that it's not authentic then please rea assured. You'll get it Monday and you'll be pleased."
I replied with the links on Coach.com of the two duffles with the numbers 19979 and 19995 and the Poppy glam and asked to cancel the transaction.

Now I got this response: This is a sample bag directly from coach. It's authentic. We did a photo shoot with them and this is the bag they sent over.

How can I believe this?

If I was you, I might ask the seller if I can just refuse the package and have the full refund. Or I receive the purse and report them where ever I can + open a case to get the full refund. They choose. It is not that difficult to prove it's a fake since the serials number is incorrect. What do you think? Also, I hope that you paid by Credit Card so that you can fill a charge back as a back-up plan. Don't be too worried, you will get your money back.

I hope everything will be work out good.

I am looking at a vintage Coach online, and the seller is claiming it is US made bag. But it has a lining in it. I asked her for the creed, but I don't think she understood what I meant. Can anyone tell me if there were US made bags with linings? Thank you!!

Here are the photos of the bag listed. I have no idea what this one is called:

To me, the seller's response sounds legit. This seller had 2 other new Legacy bags listed way before they were to be sold in the stores. They was discussed in one of the Legacy threads. One had a P following the style number. And, I don't think the other had a serial number. So, since these are sample bags that were used for a photo shoot, that explains why the seller had the bags so early. And, it would explain the serial numbers. I know we see a lot of fakes and shady sellers on eBay. And, I know we're conditioned to be doubtful. But, in this case it all sounds like it's on the up-and-up. That's just my opinion.

You can't. Sample bags still have serial numbers. And photographers don't get to keep them and sell them after photo shoots. Tell the seller to send you a copy of his photography contract with Coach - especially the clause where he gets to sell the sample bags afterwards. Coach would probably be very surprised to hear that. And if he photographed the bags for Coach you're entitled to insist that he prove that he has a legal right to sell them.

Do as I suggested, get photos from other buyers and compare details.

Please follow the instructions in post #1 about the information and photos we need to authenticate. We need a large readable photo of the creed patch showing the creed statement and serial number. Since the lining probably isn't sewn to the bag's seams she can just loosen it from the bag at the bottom and pull it out to. Good lighting and using the macro setting on her camera should help.
