The medium was very heavy. I bet the XL is super heavy. I bet there is a discussion of it somewhere on the forum. All that hardware weighs it down. They are beautiful but I wouldn't get one if I was going to have to walk anywhere with it.
An image of a woman dragging her bag down the street suddenly came to mind.
“But it’s preeettty!” she gasps whilst pulling.

That is outstanding! What needles do you use?

I believe this was for me? I just used 2 regular hand sewing needles for this! The holes were already there so it was extremely easy going in & out to re-sew. I also used gloves with a rubber coating on the fingers to pull the needles through whenever my hands got a little sweaty. They helped speed up the process by providing good grip (purchased at the dollar store, nothing fancy) :)

Omg. Did I reply to myself? Really? That’s embarrassing.
Yes the needle question was for you Coachaddict! I know leather sometimes needs heavy duty needles and I was wondering if you used such.

Hi All happy new year Coach lovers
I bought this coach city bag online on Vinted. The brass hardware is misshapen on the handles. I tried to get a hammer to it nothing happened. Has anyone experienced this before? Or know who I can look for to get it repaired at all? Any help welcomed.

If you have a leather stitching punch or awl, you don’t need special needles since the tools do the hard work of punching the holes in & then it’s just like stitching regular fabric. I didn’t buy a punch or awl since these holes were already there, but it’s a useful tool to have if you ever wanna sew leather & there’s no holes :)

I had a bag with a ring like that. You can use pliers to stretch out the square ring & then remove it to reshape. Once you’re done, slide it back on, cover the hardware with a fabric & use your pliers to push it closed again. Be careful so you don’t break the ring. Hope this helps!

eta: don’t stretch it out too much, just enough so you can wiggle it off :)

how were they already there?

The scariest part is putting the leather clip back on. I was really worried about ruining the finish. If you use a thick cloth & gently squeeze, you should be fine . Since I can’t guarantee anything though, proceed with extreme caution!
I did this with a basic bag a while back. The hardware that was on it although original, looked like it was a cheap replacement so I replaced it with a not cheap replacement:) I used jewellers pliers (they don’t have teeth) and it worked a charm. I agree with @Coachaddict4020 TOTALLY anxiety inducing!

A jeweller’s trick….when you are trying to remove the ring use a pair of pliers in each hand. Holding each end of the ring, twist so that one end comes towards you and the other goes away from you (as opposed to just pulling the ends apart from each other). This way is much easier and the ring won’t get distorted any further. Remove, reshape, replace then tighten the same way you removed it.

I know you can't guarantee anything! If I mess up, that's all on me. Caution will executed for sure!

Thanks so much, how did you reshape the brass? Would love to know the tricks of the trade

That’s a clever trick, thank you :) I better find some pliers. How did you reshape the brass? I tried to get a hammer to them and they didn’t budge
