Gorgeous! How did you attach the gold, chain strap?

It is awkwardly halfway clasped to the loop. I will need to get some gold rings for the loops to hook the strap on without compromising the loops. I highly doubt I will ever come across the strap it’s supposed to have so that is my long term solution. I will still be keeping an eye out for a tag though.

I love the bone (or is that chalk?) color in bags. I gravitate to them like none other. Fantastic work on the color refresh. Did you use a leather restorer color or acrylic paint?

I have used alcohol (91%) mixed with distilled water in a little travel size sprayer. The fine mist of the sprayer coupled with the distilled water and potent alcohol keeps the dye "intact" and prevents streaking. I've had a couple mishaps with rubbing alcohol.. :(

Thank you. This is a butter color which is a very pale yellow. I used a leather restorer with gold yellow acrylic paint mixed in. The restorer has a white base. I only rubbed it on briefly and then would wipe away. I did this a few times. I am very picky about how much paint I use if any. I don’t like the bags to look fake or painted.

This is how I've attached the gold chain link strap to my Gracie. It works okay but it does shorten the strap but it still works fine on my shoulder. I've also given up hope of ever finding an original replacement strap so I agree that this coach chain strap is a reasonable solution.

If a chain strap works okay with the size, color, and style of the bag, then I think it can be a good option to replace a missing strap; not perfect but still genuine Coach. I used a dark gunmetal coach chain strap as a replacement on this fringe dinky. The original was a silver chain strap interlaced with leather twine.

Hey my rehabbing friends...has anyone dunked one of these?
It's in pretty good shape really but has a mark that one come off with CPR.
But am concerned about losing colour re the white.
Any opinions please would be appreciated. View attachment 5179113

I have rehabbed that style bag but not in white. It's very tricky to match shades of white and sometimes you are better off not trying to do so. But if you can find a matching shade of white acrylic hobby paint, you can try mixing a tiny amount with a little bit of CPR and rubbing it into the spot to try and mask it.

Has anyone ever seen damage like this? Looks like a burn... maybe?
I'm wondering if it is worth buying this.

It is at a good enough price that I might try. If the damage has altered the texture of the leather you could colour refresh the whole bag and then add 3 strategically placed tea roses (or something similar) over the area?

I received a Geometric Clutch 2 weeks ago which I haven't started to restore. It arrived with a Regina strap attached to the interior loops (undisclosed and the listing photos didn't make that clear). Carrying the bag in this fashion stretched and distorted the loops because they aren't designed to support the weight of the bag. I am hopeful that I can restore them to their original shape when I dunk and I plan on using the strap as @katev suggested. :flowers:

Day two of Paris bag rehab: I applied 3 coats of Leather CPR so far (it came in less than 24 hours from when I ordered it ). Not much dirt came off with the first coat. While the stains are still there, they are not as noticeable. I had no luck with the wrinkles, but they are contained to the inside of the flap so no biggie. I knew that I won't get her to look perfect (she wasn't perfect to begin with since she is an irregular) and that's OK. She will be my everyday carry-all bag.

I got my Slim Satchel today. It is WAY dirtier than I thought. It looks like it was kept in a barn or shed. The good news is that I can't see any damage. The piping on the corners is Rubbed but still in good shape. It also smells horribly of perfume. Yuck!!!
Do you have any suggestions on dislodging the grime (other than standard bath)? I will also add vinegar in the hopes the smell goes away. If you have any recommendations, please let me know.
❤️
