It's not coach but it is black leather and brass hardware and it is inexpensive:
Thanks for the link. I hadn't run across that US seller. I'd really like to find a genuine replacement, but that's likely nearly impossible unless I'm lucky enough to find a bag ready for the landfill & could salvage the strap. A cobbler made strap may be too costly.

It's not accurate or traditional but you might look for a gold metal chain-link lanyard strap.

I finally gave up trying to replace the missing leather strap on my beechnut coach Gracie so I decided to use a coach chain strap. It's not perfect but I am happy with the results.

Your bag is lovely and the gold chain looks so nice on it! It seems I have more options than I realized. Thank you!

Finding an original replacement is always best but it may not be easy. There is a vendor named Silver-Coach, see link below, that sells a lot of replacement parts and straps and some are specifically designed for Coach bags but they are not cheap. I bought something from him once, and I can't remember what is was, but I remember that I was pleased with the quality.

After trying out a gazillion products, I definitely think my favourites are healing balm, cpr and br. I need to do a direct comparison of renapur and chambers to find br's runner up. There are no runners up to healing balm and cpr.

I looked up chamberlains last night on Amazon and unfortunately it said it was out of stock. Would you say it’s comparable to black rock? Or do you have a preference in using one over the other for different issues?

Good to know their product is nice - thank you!
And BTW - I saw the photo of your house damage. So sorry, because that has got to be so inconvenient - but very glad to hear that no one was hurt. Yes, things can be replaced or fixed. (Hope your Coach collection didn't have any damage :amazed:!)

I saw that that Gracie on Goodwill, good luck with the rehab! I think that the color is Ivory, which is almost white. See the typical colors of the Italian Madison bag hangtags below; but they also made them in some other colors including a very light yellow called Butter, see the picture below.

Here is the coach chain strap that I use on my beechnut Gracie, it is currently available from the Coach Outlet for $20:

wow thank you for this info! It would be crazy if I got a butter. It’s always so hard to tell from photos some time. I’ll def post it when I receive the bag. It does need a bag tag too but I’m in no rush. I do actually have the outlet gold strap! It’s the one I plan on using.

Always take before pics of your bags!!

I wrote a bad (because he deserved it..) review for the seller who sold me the spectator Court just to warn others, and surprisingly, someone from the website reached out to me asking for pictures of the bag to confirm my review. They said that if I didn't provide these pictures within the next 48hrs they would remove the negative feedback. Luckily I had the pictures from when I uploaded them on here that showed the scratches and the stain on the bottom because if I hadn't, I wouldn't have had anything to show today!

I think it's good that they check on feedback for the sellers. It would really stink to have buyers lying on their reviews and mess up seller's ratings, but I think they should tell buyers that negative reviews will be confirmed so that people have their evidence ready.

Good advise. I had no idea there was actually a selling platform that checked and confirmed the validity of bad feedback.

Hi, which chamberlain's product are you referring to? I have the healing balm and the no1 milk/liniment (also the no2 cleaner).

Here's a picture of a Butter Copley bag and wallet that I rehabbed. It's a very hard color to photograph because the color really changes with the light and it can look yellow, white, grey, cream, etc.

It's a beautiful bag but it was a difficult rehab and I was a little disappointed with the results because I just couldn't get it to look quite as clean as I wanted, especially the stitching.

Leather CPR is probably the most accurately named product ever. It really brought my bag back from the dead

I guess I should give Coach some credit too for making these amazing virtually indestructible bags:giggle:

The paint for the camel section still hasn’t arrived, and if it weren’t for the wear under the handle and around the turnlock, I don’t even think I would need to touch up on it anymore. Started doing some of the piping since I already had those colors. I’m using folk art acrylic paint in “linen” and a little bit of saphir creme renovatrice in eggshell just because I like the texture of saphir once it dries. I’ve found that acrylic paint can sometimes leave a chalky feel if you don’t dilute it enough, but with the color bone I can’t really dilute it or it’ll never cover the wear.

I was wondering if someone could help me out with the handle.

It seems that the handle is made with 3 layers of leather and by comparing it to my BT court, it seems that those layers are sealed together somehow.

I want to say it’s like an edge kote, but it feels less rubbery/thick than edge kote. Does anybody know what’s used to seal these edges?

Just as an update, the selling site "Depop" responded to my pictures saying they would be taking my feedback down and said,

"Please know this is not a formal warning, just a friendly reminder to provide clear, honest context in your reviews, keeping feedback as accurate and fair as possible."

I'm shocked and I probably shouldn't be. Nice to know they filter their reviews to side with the seller and promote sales. I wrote back a lengthy email, which I'm sure won't make a difference, but just wanted to let them know how dishonest and unfair THEY are being.

If a clawed up bag isn't enough proof, I don't know what is.
