Oh man, that Murphy.

I’ve never seen/heard of an Emmie until now. It’s such a nice shape!
I'm loving the Murphy too! I'd never seen an Emmie bag before, either - but I like it!
I love the Emmie!
I found this picture of Emmie Flap Bags 9018 on the internet and they sure are cuties!

Thanks to all who responded about Coach repairs. Think I will try the cobbler route. I really hate to ship that bag out again.

Emmies are super cute!! Was my most expensive bag before the Winnie I just got. Great deal!!

Now that I think about it, I have actually seen (pictures) of Emmie bags before but I thought that they were called Emily bags! Does anyone know if "Emmie" is just a nickname for "Emily" or am I totally confused about the actual name of this cute little bag?!

Catalog calls it an Emmie, the style number is 9018 :) There was one recently posted to the rehab thread, I believe it was Periwinkle. Here’s a blurry catalog pic I found on google:

Basic rehab question: are we supposed to apply leather conditioner to the sueded surfaces? I have not been, only to the finished side of bags and straps, but I don’t sweat it if some conditioner gets on the sueded side.

I am really enjoying everybody’s catalog photos. A lot of foresight to save those!

I don't.

Hi ladies, this isn’t exactly a rehab question per se do feel free to redirect my query elsewhere. I just received a Quincey and rediscovered how short I am. Is it possible to shorten the strap without chopping it? I love it but it does make me feel and look hobbit sized

You can knot the strap. That’s what I did with my scooter when I had one. I didn’t like the knot at first but it grew on me. I took the bag all over the place & no one ever cared or noticed that there was a knot. Here’s the only pic I seem to have of the knot:

This is probably the only way unless you permanently get the strap shortened since it’s one tubular piece of leather. Sorry

Eta: forgot to mention it, but in my pic the knot is done loosely because I took the picture as an example for when I listed the bag. You can tighten the knot which makes it smaller than what’s shown by pulling it upwards if that makes sense.

I know you will but psa do remember to keep it well conditioned as my distressed nyc dinky was knotted and had cracked:sad: lol

eta I've been preferring chamberlain's healing balm over leather therapy because I'm an oversaturator and I somehow don't do that w/ the balm. Anyway, when I have time I'll redunk the dinky and try it on the cracks.
