It's a 2005 Janice in a mystery blue. It's darker than my mystery Rambler's Legacy. It's like a dark teal, maybe federal blue. It isn't just that it is faded, the color kind of looks swirly, like when I conditioned, it redistributed the color in that pattern. I can't remember if it always looked like that, but more conditioning isn't helping. I did dunk it when I first got it. It also has a couple of grease stains on it I haven't been able to get rid of. I think I need to take it to a paint store to get a perfect match rather than try to mix something myself.

I'd love to see a photo of it, @whateve! Blue bags are my favourites and I love discovering new shades to covet!

I also have a 2005 mystery blue Janice which requires a colour refreshing. There are mildly faded areas here and there, but mostly the piping. I adore this bag, so I am waiting until I have the time and am in the right frame of mind to tackle the challenge of creating the perfect colour match.

She looks great from a distance.

(The actual colour is more accurately represented in the photo below).
Evidence that colour refreshing is in Janice's future.

I know! I was so excited when I saw the listing but I thought that the color loss wouldn’t be as bad in person and it seems worse. I’ve ordered BR but I can imagine trying to find/make a paint that matches will be difficult.

Although BR does darken/even out colour somewhat, I do find that it leaves a yellowish/brown tinge. Therefore it works better on black and brown rehabs. Here's my jade Kimball looking beautiful and healthy, but on closer inspection the yellowing is evident. I don't think this will be an issue when I colour refresh because I will thoroughly buff her first.
For now she is glowing and happy to be carried.

Very healthy piping leather, but with a yellowish brown tinge on small portions where the piping was more worn:

Good luck with your City and please keep us posted! :hugs:

@COACH ADDICT just wondering if I need to be concerned about anything relating to this bag? x

No, sorry, I didn’t mean to give you any doubts by asking haha! I just noticed the 2 mahogany bags I worked on from Costa Rica were very easy rehabs but the current mahogany bag Im working on from the US is a bit more challenging. Your rehab turned out great though so I don’t think it has anything to do with location as much as it does the dye batch :)

You might do what I'm planning. Go to Home Depot or similar store and ask them to mix a paint sample to match.

Your Janice appears to be the same color as my Rambler's Legacy. My Janice is darker. My Rambler's Legacy looks okay except for a barely noticeable stain on the flap and whiteness on the corners. I don't think I'd mind my Janice so much if the fading didn't have that swirly pattern. It reminds of a wallet that got that same type of swirly pattern when I put on conditioner. It never went away no matter what I did. I think I must have caused that on the Janice when I rehabbed the bag.

Here is a really lousy picture but you can kind of see the swirliness.

is there a way to clean the brass hardware from later coach bags? these bags are 2-3 years old. i understand that these are no longer solid brass so normal cleaning solutions may damage it. my SA told me to just wipe with any regular cloth but it didn't do anything. is there any brass cleaner or jewelry cloth that would work for plated brass? TIA!View attachment 5113278View attachment 5113279

I use a metal cleaner called Wenol, just don't rub too hard and it should clean the surface tarnish.

I've never seen anything like that before. I can't imagine what could have caused it.

thank you for the tip! i will look for this

Just a word of caution, whenever I am using a new product on a bag I try to "test" the product first in an area that won't show. Perhaps you can try it on a portion of the turnlock or hardware that is usually hidden.

I always just want to make sure that it won't look bad when I do use it on a more prominent area.

There's a lot of experimentation to rehabbing a bag, most of the time it works out well - but not always!

Phew! That’s interesting! This one is pretty faultless to be fair so I can’t claim much credit at all. Good luck with yours x

She's gorgeous @Paris Girl! I'm loving the charm, too!

I received mine a few weeks ago and am building up my confidence to do a slight colour refresh on her.

Hello, @LadaZuri! Have you gotten around to color refreshing your aqua lunchbox? how did it go? :)

I just recently got mine and its so pretty but it definitely needs some color refresh! @MrsGAM and other kind ladies in the forum gave very good advise but i'm still so afraid to mess this up.

Any tips for rehabbing aqua colored bags? would dunking help with the fading and color loss in the case of pastel colored bags?

Hello! What you did with this rehab is amazing! I’m preparing to rehab this lunch box but we don’t have saphir products in our country. what would you expert rehabbers recommend I do with this bag? Did you apply the saphir mixture to the entire bag or just the edges only?
