The seller said she never sealed the edges and I believe her. I think whoever or wherever she bought it from might have done the sloppy job. Its coming off but it will definitely need another dunk as its become very sticky. Also, to make matters worse, the bag wreaks of fish now!! The odour is whatever, I have my deodorizing methods but that nail polish stain refuses to budge. I even scrubbed it gently with a toothbrush. I don’t wanna strip the bag’s colour or else Id use something stronger to remove it. Im not gonna bother returning it now because I found out the seller will have to pay the return cost back and I feel bad about making someone pay International shipping fees. Im really hoping this bag turns out ok though
You might try using acetone to clean it and then dunk afterwards to get rid of the acetone. What color is the nail polish? Is it on the outside?

Ebay does care that you dunked the bag. You've altered it, it can no longer be returned.

You’re right. Ive never had to do an ebay return so I was under the impression that because I asked the seller beforehand about edge fading and she never disclosed they were coated with rubber material, I still had a case regardless of dunk but I was wrong. I decided to keep it anyways because I didn’t want to be a headache buyer. Hopefully the second dunk helps!

It reminds me of my distressed Mocha Marketing Tote. As for Saphir Juvacuir, forgive me, I lost track of the trail, are you looking to go back to black?
I was thinking of making it black again. It’s currently a muddy color of not black but not dark brown. The front flap is the worst, but I would probably do the whole bag, just skipping over the UA stamp to protect it. Not sure I want to put money into the bag or that I have the patience to use the Saphir. Seeking opinions on what to do and how to do it :)

Acetone will fade the leather around the spot, making it look lighter. What's worse, a pink nail polish stain or a faded spot? Do you think you can cover the spot with paint or dye?

I have used Resolene to hide uneveness in the past so that might work. I will have to try it and see. i might also buy leather dye for the edges because they are very worn and it doesn’t look like something conditioner will fix- ill post the bag once Ive finished the rehab :)

The pictures you showed doesn't show bad edgewear. Conditioner may be all you need. A little acrylic mixed with conditioner can be used if you discover you need more than conditioner.
