My Rambler is finished! The spots and scratches evened out once she completely dried. I finished with Renpur. I am so pleased with how this rehab turned out and I'm surprised at how much I love the size and style of this bag. This is definitely one of my new favorites!

So beautiful, she looks brand new, a fine example of quality leatherware of vintage Coach.

Hi ladies, I'm in the midst of working on my sad-looking watermelon tote that even smells like it's depressed. I went against conventional wisdom and dunked the body of the bag because the smell was just...ugh. My hands reek of it too as I'm typing D: I noticed the handles were already sort of soft before I even dunked the bag so to avoid further floppiness I kept the handles out of the water. May I know how hard/soft the handles are supposed to be? Because they're slightly bendy but I can't tell if it's supposed to be that way. Thanks in advance.

They are supposed to be hard. When you squeeze them, they don't give. I can bend them slightly if I try but they go right back.

Thank you! Do you notice how crooked the front tab is? I've been working on this bag for a few days and just yesterday I noticed how crooked the tab is. I suppose it isn't too terribly obvious if it took me a few weeks to notice.
No I did not. So went back to check it, yes it is tilted just slightly. I don't think anyone will notice that unless you point it out. IMO it doesn't take anything away from this beautiful bag. But if it bothers you, looks like an easy fix by a cobbler.
ETA: I wouldn't worry about it if it was mine, just adds character and uniqueness.

Does anyone else have this problem? I polish the hardware and a few days later it looks bad again. Sometimes not tarnished but cloudy.
Another here saying yes I have seen my Brasso polishing work only last a few to several days. I find my brass goes a little bit dark. Happens with D rings, turnlocks, and ball chains all at about the same time.
