How are the cuts in the side piping where the strap hooks onto...did they survive?

On this rehab I didn’t stuff the bag with towels for a few hours, it is a fairly rigid style so it stood. Then stuffed it for the night and it seems to be going faster. Or it could be the total lack of humidity in their air.

Got this sad Thompson Karee the other day that needs some love. It’s enormous!! Pictured here next to a Soho bag. I can’t imagine what she’s going to weigh wet! Will post updates! To think she retailed for 998$!!!

Have any of you that have dunked a metal tag pre creed bag had some of the black (enamel?) come off during the bath? I was very careful, didn't leave it in very long, but as I was drying her off the black came off of the h in Coach. The rest seems fine but I freaked of course.

I dunked 3 bags with metal Coach tag, all 3 turned out fine.
ETA: All 3 are Bonnie Cash pre creed bags with stripped linings. I was more worried about the linings, so the dunking time was very brief

Wow! There were no problems with the metal tag or the edging or straps after dunking my one-and-only pre-creed Gracie bag - I am glad that I got lucky!

You are absolutely correct, I did mean the small shopper, thank you. I was upset to hear about the enamel loss on the metal tags!

they dont look too bad now.
Wonder what you can do to them to keep them secure and not rip more.

I'm going to try some leather cement when it's dry and see if that will work.

Thanks. I will post before and after pics when it’s done. It needs to dry, have more coats of CPR and a horsehair brushing.

My Legacy zip 9966 in black with silver hardware arrived! The leather on this bag is niiiiiiice! It definitely needs a dunk, reshape, and conditioning, but I have a feeling this one will be a homerun out of the park when it's done.

My Legacy zip 9966 in black with silver hardware arrived! The leather on this bag is niiiiiiice! It definitely needs a dunk, reshape, and conditioning, but I have a feeling this one will be a homerun out of the park when it's done.
