This is a bag I am working on. I am not sure what it’s called. It was very worn with loss of color. I have put one coat of angelus rose leather dye. I have another bottle on the way. I love the rose red color but I am not sure if it’s going to be dark enough to really make it look better.

Are you lovely rehabbers who are receiveing new-to-you bags these past few weeks letting them sit for a few days before you start on them, especially if they came to you from high coronavirus case states like NY or the surrounding area?
I started to work on them right away. From what I heard the virus only live on surface for hours to days, take 2 weeks for the bag from U.S. to my place.

Thanks for the suggestion, I had not considered it - I thought Saphir only made color products. Have you used it after dunking?
Not yet as Leather CPR is much cheaper here and easier to get. But I always want to try Saphir product, if guys are ok to use Saphir on their expensive shoes, then it should be ok on leather handbags. I just placed my first Saphir order recently, as I need reptile leather conditioner, included in the order is a 1L size Universal leather balm, Reptan conditioner ,and leather cleaner. I will let you know how the Saphir leather balm compare to leather CPR once I try it out.

Looks great in my opinion.

I cleaned this bag as best I could. The inside was greasy and coved in makeup. After dunking with dawn, I then scrubbed the inside with alcohol and Q tips. I don’t think I can get the inside any better. I think the outside might benefit from something but not sue what. Here are the before and after. I don’t think the before pictures from goodwill show how dirty it really was.

Thanks, I'm curious about your experience!

Haha, nice! I currently use the portion of the living room table that is not part of my boyfriend's quarantine WFH setup. His colleagues have probably seen my rehab supplies at the edge of their screens during video calls.
On a different note, sucks about the potential CPR residue. Has this ever happened post-dunk?
I dont use cpr on dry leather, I only use it after a dunk and while the leather is damp. I thought I'd give it a shot but not again. I use renapur for my upkeep conditioning. My husband gets upset when he has to fiddle around on his screen. I usually tell at him to not touch my bags. Lol

I did a stupid thing with my olive Legacy Zip this morning. I was trying to untie the string I used to hand it up and the knot was too tight. So I used scissors to cut it...put a knick in the buckle...
So annoyed with myself....not I have to fimd a way to smooth it out.

The good news I am thrilled , if not stalled a little, with how the Letter Brief came out thus far. Will do before and after a when completed.
Help me out, what was I thinking, what was I thinking, when I bid on the Buckle Bag?? Oh that’s right, maybe I wasn’t thinking. I was blinded by the shiny buckles?? Maybe? Well, it is a great size bag. And it’s little friend with the brass it a bit of a consolation. So if you need to commiserate on a purchase . . .
Oh BT, you drive me insane!

Hopefully! I almost thought I was going to read you ripped the leather!! I am glad the leather is okay.

Thanks for the input everyone, it sounds like most of you are going with what the experts say- which is that basically its a fragile virus and the temperature and handling conditions plus number of days in shipping likely kills it off. I am doing the same things you all are. I am opening any packages with gloves and a homemade mask made of a paper towel fan-folded and rubber bands tied on the ends to go around my ears. Putting boxes and packaging in a trash bag immediately and tying it off and disposing of it. I personally am letting any new bags sit on the floor for a few more days. I am something of a germaphobe and I just would never get over it if I brought something in that contaminated my house especially THIS germ. I am too scared to risk it even though it is probably way overkill and I really should not play into the hysteria. My state has a new stay-at-home order so I guess even if I did come down with it, we are all ordered to quarantine anyway.

I opened it, threw away the packaging, put the purse into soapy water and washed my hands. It came from Posh and I had to approve the purchase within 3 days so I didn't feel I could wait.

Yes for Posh and Mercari it must be opened and inspected. I am trying to, number one, go on a ban, and number 2 only shop ebay right now for that very reason. I bought a cheap bag that I really only wanted for the hangtag but its from Mercari so I will have to take a risk on that one and open it immediately. Although I pretty much am done with purchases though, I now have all the styles and all the fobs I wanted so I am really just getting a last hangtag or so and then I should be good! Will just be enjoying my beautiful bags and drooling over everyone else's!
