Yes it is a scooter bag, and thank you, katev, for the input! Even just giving me an idea about the size is helpful - I find it so hard to judge even with the mannequin model photos. And I was indeed worried about how well those stains would come out. I think I should take it as a sign to move on when the cost of shipping plus duty would likely be more than the cost of the bag itself!
I will just have to keep searching for my yellow bag...
Shipping to Nz is a killer...and since December we have to add 15% tax on that as well. I have to ask myself , is the bag worth shipping twice or three times the price of the bag.

@BeenBurned once gave me some very helpful advice about judging the size of the bag on an online auction. She told me to note the dimensions and then draw it out with a ruler on a piece of paper. I've used that method many times and it was very valuable advice!

I made the actual bag out of paper. When i finally got the bag I put it up against my paper bag and it matched perfectly.
I felt a bit weird doing it but it helped a lot.

Thank you for the tips! I just tried drawing out the dimensions of the scooter bag and as cute as it is, it is indeed too small for my needs.

I picked up two Willis bags yesterday and the turnlocks on both have come loose. Because of the construction, I can't easily access them, as they're attached to a piece of leather that is then sewn on to the outside pocket, so the back of the turnlock component is not visible; rather it's sandwiched between 2 pieces of leather. I've read a bit here about people sending their bags to Coach for repair, but I'd rather not do that, as it seems they don't always come back.

I'm sure this is nothing new with these bags, so I'm hoping someone has found a solution to recommend? Is there a way to slide in a piece of leather, for example, to take up the slack?

Ideally, I'd prefer to keep the existing hardware as it adds character to the bags. Thanks in advance. :)

Have those Willises been authenticated? I have many Willises and the only one with the turn lock sandwiched between leather turned out to be counterfeit. I would have had to cut through the leather to replace the lock.

Thanks for the reply! I wrote too soon, it turns out. The turnlocks are loose on both, but I did not check the second one before typing. Its turnlock IS sewn through both pieces of leather, thus accessible.

I didn't bother authenticating here b/c the pic of the first one's stamp did not show it in full; only the middle section. I bought it on Ebay from linda*s***stuff, who has been good with returns, so I don't see a problem sending it back. However, I just glanced at the listing now and they state it's been authenticated by My Poupette, "the world's oldest online authentication service!" I've never heard of My Poupette, btw, so can't comment further on this.

I'll take a pic of the entire creed and upload it later today.

My Poupette used to be the big authenticater for LV bags 10 or so years ago. They are barely mentioned now. Not sure what happened although I felt they charged too much to authenticate

If they do end up being authentic then you can pretty easily remove the hardware from those bags with a little patience and the right tools. I’ve found car panel tools very useful in lifting tabs to remove the turnlock without scratching it. The 4 D rings on top of the bag are screwed into place so finding a screwdriver just the right size can remove them. Don’t try to use one too small because it will just strip the screw.
I’m going to look to see if I can find my post with pictures to help. Good luck!!
